Excellent proper air fryer as opposed to all the wannabees and jack of all trades with their silly gimmicks out there, Philips own the patent for this design which circulates heat much better so things cook evenly, no need for dual elements etc. I've had one for a couple of months now replacing a still perfectly working 10 year old original Philips, just wanted something bigger and this is huge.

Looks expensive, even at this price, but as always, quality costs.

Is that why I've never found one better than my original Phillips, that I still go to even though it has no handle

I have XL version and the only issue is the touchscreen controls, some of the icons are touchscreen, some are just illuminated icons, all of us at home from 14 to 45 years old are complaining about the start/pause button, it's touchscreen and you are never sure if the air fryer is actually working, now we just check the back fan airflow with our hands. All in all we are very satisfied, we don't use wireless or the app but the air fryer itself is very reliable, always cooking evenly, also makes the best fries we've ever had! Easy to clean too. It's so good we bought another for bigger dinners or mixed scenarios and now our cooker is just left unused - I was never a fan of a cooker appliance anyway. (edited)

Seen reviews about the XL and it's iffy controls, they are much better on this, completely different panel that is all buttons, no icons, and you can reprogram the presets if you want which is handy.

Glad to hear your happy with the actual cooking

How does this compare with the Ninja one?

It's better at airfrying as that's all it is.
