Philips AC0820/30 Series 800 Compact Purifier with Real Time Air Quality Feedback, Anti-Allergen, Reduces Odours and Gases, NanoProtect filter, 22 W

Bought one of these 2 years ago and now couldn’t resist another one for £50 cheaper than I paid back then at Argos! Great purifier - amazing the difference to a room if you shut the door for 20 mins and let it do its thing! We find it quiet too. Been away in trips with us - Philip is now part of the family!

It's okay. I've used a much bigger and more powerful one that costs £300 and I'd say that this is extremely underwhelming after using that. I had both. I would use the big one in the kitchen to get rid of cooking smells mainly and the small one in the baby's room to get rid of any allergens in the air or smoke and dust

£30 more for the 'app connected' one, not sure if that's worth the extra or does anything in addition (seems only in black though and ideally wanted white... :/ )

My mum has a lung condition and uses the phillips air purifier, they came top in the gadget show budget test.

What do people use outside :/ (in parks, pubs, walking, social situations in general)

You'd need the Dyson Zone, wearable purifier!
Practically though, an N95 mask is about as good filtration as you'll get for walking around.
