Glad I got a year's pass on the sale.

So glad I've subscribed to PS Now since last week. I managed to complete control and there are a ton of other games (that although I have them all sitting on the shelf but) I have completely forgotten to play. Really a good value at the current price. I am even tempted to buy another year of it just in case.

Metro is another game buried in the backlog that I have totally forgotten to get around playing. Heat added OP.

Heat! Is this confirmed for EU? Two games I’ve wanted to play for ages!
Not an online gamer anymore and PS now is a clear no brainer if you were only going to sub to one of the services! (edited)

    That was quick, cheers.

But you can still buy it from Shopto for 29.99 or buy some store credit voucher for the PSN store at say £29ish for a £35 Voucher and then buy PS Now direct from the Sony store when the deal goes live for £34.99 for a 12-month subscription.

    Well worth the money IMHO.

I don't know much about these games but will give them a go. I read one of the Metro books and it was good. Currently playing Doom on PS Now which is lots of fun. I am going to try and get the platinum trophy for it. It's good to try different games and see what you like. I started playing Prey and it looked great but didn't enjoy the gameplay so I ditched it.

However I accidentally signed up to PS Now until January 2022. I already had PS Now until January 2021 and went to buy PS Plus. I then couldn't log into PS Plus so checked my transaction history on the PSN website and saw I had bought PS Now instead....completely careless of me! However at least they stack the subscription so they don't overlap and I probably will get value out of it. I didn't bother challenging it with Sony as it was my mistake and not the end of the world.

    When does this go live?

I was just wondering the same thing...unsure, I imagine it is later today...I could be wrong, but I believe it is something along the lines of the 1st Tuesday every month...but that might be for Playstation Plus.

I guess someone will be along soon to let us all know. (edited)

If you've got a decent connection the streaming is actually surprisingly good, wasn't expected much but picture quality is great and no perceptible (for me) input lag.

Of course downloading the PS4/PS2 games is preferable.

Is this service any good yet?Still not seen any ground breaking reviews.

In what way? It’s easy to navigate, has a fair amount of good PS4 games and you can download or stream them, with a load of PS3 games that you can only stream as well. Streaming has improved since they updated their servers. There’s a free trial as well.

Subbed until May 2022. Someone who left feedback spent £500 on codes in two transactions! They told me not to leave feedback but Ebay don't let virtual sales.

Looks like are sold out again, but they seem to relist most days, maybe message them and ask, if they have more codes, I've bought 4 lots from them, last lot was 12 x 1 month code, took less than 10 minutes to enter them all...it wasn't an hassle and it was worth it.

It’s 700 games for what, 60p a week? I’d rather have it this cheap and effectively supported by people paying £40 for the AAA titles on release. A £200m game can’t work on a subscription only model unless: the monthly charge is extortionate; the console manufacture subsidises the service in the hope of selling more consoles; games get a lot more in app purchases. Keep Now as it is, every month there is something new I want to play and I will be extra excited when they announce RDR2 and Death Stranding, just as I was with Control and Spiderman

For people like me, not bothered about online play, getting PS Now over PS+ seems like a much better deal. Especially as PS4 & PS2 games can be downloaded rather than streamed.

Granted if you have built up a hefty PS+ game library over the years you may have a better PS4 game selection, but personally I've only occasionally had PS+ sub, so only have a few games. Whereas PS Now unlocks a ton of games off the bat, and would be perfect for those just getting a PS4 now as the generation winds down.

Recent played through Control and absolutely loved it. Might be my favourite game on PS4. I played on a standard PS4 and did have frame rate issues and loading times were a bit long but you don't die often so hopefully not a big deal. Only other gripe was I kept getting lost and spent ages trying to find where I needed to go. There is an inbuilt map but the levels are layered and it's still not obvious which sections are connected up. But overall I loved it.
