Nope. If your sub expires you can no longer launch ps plus games. However, they do not disappear form your account, so once you resub you gain access to your entire backlog of ps plus games again. I've let mine lapse a lot as I always have auto renew off and forget about it, i've never actually lost any games from my account. You just can't launch them without an active sub.
Yes any non F2P game needs PS+. Yes you could purchase now but I would assume that purchasing via this deal the subscription would start straight away as its direct from Sony. Only ones that can be activated later would be codes you buy that need to be redeemed on the Playstation store.
Its for non subscribers to PS+ if you are currently subscribed to PS+ you can not purchase.

You can't get this on an account that has an existing subscription.
You can only buy 1 of these as its for users without a active PS+ Subscription, if you have an active subscription you can not buy it.
Also you can stack multiple years of PS+ im subbed until Sept 2024 seen others that have even longer than that.
For certain games yes. And you get 2 free titles every month including a collection of free games because you own a ps5. However the games which are labelled as free in the PlayStation store like fortnite dont need a subscription. Its worth getting at this price imo because this time next year itll hopefully be this price too when it comes to renew your membership! Its what i do every year hope that helps

I’m in the same boat… I never bother with the monthly games anymore and the only game I ever fire up to play on my ps these days is Warzone or rocket league…

Make a new psn account and buy ps plus on it, set it as your primary account and you'll have access to ps plus games and online multiplayer
I'd imagine most people who jumped on the BF deal already had PS+ and were just extending it longer. So this wouldn't work for them anyway.
