Anyone recommend this over the meta quest 2? For the price is the ps5 vr worth it?

Depends if you're planning on using the quest 2 with a pc to play pcvr games, the psvr2 has better resolution and eye tracking but doesn't really have a big great selection of games yet and in my opinion they ruined it by using frenzel lenses which is the one thing i hate about my quest 2.
Id say get a quest 3 which is going to have pancake lenses and higher resolution than psvr2 them play pcvr games library (edited)

Thankyou It did go out of stock that's why it expired, but it's back in stock now

Seems like a pretty good deal! I can't justify this purchase though because the library is lacking as far as I'm concerned.

Have PSVR 1 (that I seldom use now) and will get this at some point (for Gran T etc) but it needs to drop down to my price point to justify the outlay - no where near that price, yet

I hear ya, I'm similar. Just changed all the batteries in my move controllers because, like a typical casual gamer, I keep buying games, and my PSVR collection is healthy and unused. £350 and I'll bite

You’d be mad to get this over a Quest 3. Large existing catalogue, fully standalone (no console required), no wires, can also connect to a PC/laptop/Mac etc, runs homebrew side loaded software. The PSVR2 might have nice ish OLED screens but in all the ways that matter the Quest is better. Shame it’s a Facebook product though.

Is Quest 3 worth getting if you do not have a Decent PC?!

Still not at my biting point of £99.99 and a reach around

For those older gamers on the fence. No generation of console has given me the wow factor of going from 16 bit to full 3D games era. This VR stuff gives you that wow this is the future feeling of that

Remarkable time to be into this hobby

Really hope there’s enough people out there prepared to pay the high price point to justify Sony’s investment in VR, I want to see it become what it has the potential to become, unfortunately I just can’t afford to justify the price knowing from VR1 that it’s not something I’ll use every day unlike the PS5 which although has a price tag is justifiable for the use it gets. I think it’s still a year away from hitting my biting point.

PSVR2 is pretty expensive accessory, but Ive had my share of fun with it and still do with occasional new releases. If you can afford it it's worth trying, worst case just return it

New Astro Bot game for psvr2 and I’ll bite, need at least one decent game for the kids to justify buying it.

I sold my VR1 as thought that with PS5's ability to play PS4 games, the VR2 would at least be able to play PSVR1 games. I still had a lot of VR1 games that I bought but hadn't yet played, so was pissed when I found out VR2 couldn't play them. So I bought another vr1 headset. Once I've played them all I can get rid of my VR1 and by that time hopefully either more decent games will have come out for VR2 or by that time VR3 might be released...lol Yeah SONY did themselves out of a Launch Day sale from me.

VR3 won’t be released until the PS6 comes out. Looking at another 6-8 years
