Controller features (taken from store.nintendo.co.uk) :

  • The Pro Controller includes many of the great features found in the Joy-Con Controllers: motion controls, HD rumble, built-in amiibo functionality and more. The primary difference in the controls is that while the directional controls on the Joy-Con (L) are made up of different buttons, the Pro Controller has a single + Control Pad, similar to previous systems.

  • The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller contains 2 linear resonant actuators, each with independent HD Rumble capabilities, creating a similar effect as with the Joy-Con Controllers. The HD rumble function included in the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller creates an immersive gameplay experience that isn’t possible with images and sounds alone.

  • You can also use amiibo on your Nintendo Switch by tapping them to the NFC touchpoint on the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller! This accessory comes with a USB Type-C connector and a USB Type-C cable that allows you to charge it. The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller battery life is approximately 40 hours. Please note: this is the estimated battery life. This may vary depending on the usage conditions.

I've actually always enjoyed using Joy-Cons

Good for use on switch but such an average controller. Digital triggers are cheap and feel early 2000s and irritatingly doesn't hold it's charge as long as it should really. Face buttons feel spongey compared to Xbox,PS and other third party
I paid 29.99 for mine and I feel ripped off still hah (edited)

It sounds like you bought a fake. Fake ones are rife. Where did you buy from. Battery life on genuine Switch Pro controller is one of its best most lauded features @ 40 hours

I’ve used most of the controllers with the exception of PS5 and this is by far the best as mentioned above battery lasts ages in fact I was looking for a battery for my old Wii U Pro controller and I’m sure it’s the same one that lasted forever as well (edited)

Been this price for a while. I picked it up using nectar points after my old 3rd party pro controller died. It’s a nice unit but not a patch on the dualsense. Necessary for the switch though and probably the best price out there heat.

I'm going to wait until it's back down to 40 (which it is several times a year) then use the 5 off voucher

Maybe by then Switch 2 will be announced and old hardware will be on clearance... a man can dream
