    A cleaning nightmare?

Does anyone know if they do smart ovens like this but with a microwave built in too?

I've got the Sage 400 quid microwave with air fryer function, it's rubbish. Air fryer mode takes ages, cooks more in back Corner but the food just doesn't get very crispy at all. I ended up buying a separate air fryer unit - wish I'd just brought a normal microwave and not wasted my money. (edited)

Thanks, the winner is amazon.co.uk/Ins…2P/ available in the UK as well, and seems a better buy than the oven which gets messy quickly, bit overpriced compared to the USA but that is usual, I guess. The only problem with making lovely food, as amply illustrated by the reviewers, is that you eat too much of it. (edited)

If you don't mind black instead of stainless steel you can get this same fryer on Costco online for £269.98 with free shipping. Even if you need to add on the £15 online membership it works out cheaper than Amazon, plus you are getting a years Costco online in with the price.

Errr, they 4enamed a fan oven, air fryer.

An air fryer of course is just a small fan oven, the fan acting turbo in the tiny envitonment.

They usually call them Convection Ovens. (edited)

I read that modern ovens have an "air fryer" setting anyway.

An oven is a heating element and a fan.
An air fryer is a heating element and a fan.

    Spot the difference.

voted cold as this is expensive for the type of product, I just bought the daewoo 11L airfryer (small over) for £90. Same applies for people buying dual airfryers for 3x the cost of two smaller ones.

Which one did you buy? Thanks

you can get small table top convection oven for about 60-70, im not sure you would save a lot of money with this as seems big compared to a air fryer

You can indeed, but you’d be comparing chalk with cheese. The review above shows why. This isn’t really about saving money, though. It’s mostly about speed and food quality.

How do people clean these types of ovens? doesn't the top get really greasy after a while

22 Litres is pretty small. The Ninja air fryer oven is much bigger and circa £250

I bought this oven when I was planning to buy an air fryer, thinking I could also use it as a toaster (hate toasters taking up space on the worktop as I don't use them myself) and mini oven.

Result? I use it loads. Mostly for toasting but also as an oven and grill. I've used the air fryer function about twice in 2 years! This may be because subconsciously I know that it would be a massive pain in the arris to clean after using it as an air fryer. I have an Instant Pot (pressure cooker) which I'm seriously thinking about replacing with a Ninja to get the air fryer facility and a bit easier cleaning...

If you don't want to change brands, Instant Pot do pressure cookers that come with a lid that allows you to air dry, roast, bake, grill and dehydrate. If you look up duo crisp and air fryer you should find a few. They used to do an add on lid for the 6L pressure cooker, but I think you'd only find it 2nd hand now as I don't think it was as good as the ones that come with the whole units that are available now.

    Hi All,

Does this model have a rotisserie feature for Chicken, Kebabs, Chips etc? Also, is 1700watts powerful enough? I read somewhere that ideally one should look for a unit that offers 2000watts or more & goes to about 230-250 degrees? Having a hard time finding any with those specs though!

    Many Thanks!
