Since this is from Amazon EU, there might be some difference. The most obvious is Samsung warranty will not apply.

EU products may differ from UK products. Additional terms apply.
    Amazon Global Store
    • International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions.
    • Manufacturer warranty will not apply. Please review Amazon’s return policy, which usually offers free returns within 30 days of receipt.
    • Depending on your delivery address, VAT may vary at Checkout.

Samsung accidently made an excellent all round device for a reasonable price and that has now dropped to nearly half the RRP. Xiaomi did the same with the 10T Lite. Then have disappointed since. The Note 11 Pro+ is good tbf. But no way should it cost more than £250

Thanks OP, just ordered Even though it's now 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Can vouch for the amazon 2 year refund as some years back I purchased a sim free Samsung Note 4 from Amazon and literally a day before the 2 years were up it developed a fault. Got in touch with Samasung (2 year warranty) and they said to send the phone to them. Once they had the phone they then wanted to see proof of receipt which showed the IMEI number. The amazon receipt did not show that and they said they are unable to procced with the repair of it without proof of purchase showing IMEI number. So I then asked them to return the phone back to me. I then got in touch with Amazon chat (it was a few weeks past 2 years since I purchased it), explained what had happened and they simply said they will refund me in full and to send the faulty phone back to them.

This or the Poco F3 for my father?

If your father is not tech savvy then definitely this. Poco/Xiaomi's skin can be quite frustrating unless you dive in to the settings and make adjustments. Samsung's One UI just works

That's how android uses RAM, it always optimises what is available. It'd look the same if you had 4gb or 12gb too.
    EazyDuz's avatar
Wrong. Wouldn't look the same on a phone with 32GB RAM, please do some research in phone technology in future

It doesn't matter where is made the important thing to know is which market was the phone made for because different countries use different network bands

The only downside is its quite wide to hold even with a thin case

Or have phones stagnated these days with marginal camera improvements etc?I notice Xiaomi are still trying to sell the Mi10 for £799 ?!? WTF

For battery health try the accubattery app, it measures how much charge the battery takes as opposed to what it should have been when new then gives you a percentage, takes a few charge cycles to get the info.

If you didn’t, then CS will give the spiel that relates to the warranty for an Amazon U.K. purchased phone.

I shared link to the item and asked her twice and she confirmed initially 24 months warranty, (Silps got the same response and even got an email confirmation.) I asked how do I get the extra 6 months and she checked and confirmed this is from Samsung Which i am guessing after registering the product. After this went to Johnlewis near my home checked out A53 which is almost similar and was convinced about the mobile’s form-factor, screen and looks. And placed my order which is showing as arriving on 1st June.

Need a new phone, didn't want to spend ages looking so taking a punt on this and now ordered. I got confirmation from amazon that they provide a 2 year warranty on this, they weren't sure about the additional Samsung warranty that someone else mentioned but 2 years is reasonable enough.

It's a good price (better than Samsung were selling for on Amazon UK a few weeks ago) and a good all-round phone but you've gotta love OneUI as it's radically different from stock Android. Hardware wise there's not much to compete with it from a big name brand though.

Seen similar priced contract deals for both. From what I've seen in reviews so far battery life is a problem on the s21 fe but apparently not on thisA52S has a headphone jack and Micro SD storage - the s21 Fe doesn't have either - but more water resistant because of it.Anybody got any real life experience of both, or opinion to help me decide (is for my daughter, seen deals for around £23 on a 2yr contact with 15gb+ data on o2 on both phones)

Don't expect good battery life with Samsung phones. The S21 FE is better than this in terms of camera and processor but I guess costs a lot more.
