Can't decide between this and the S6 lite . Heat added! (edited)

Cheers, They are wholly different price brackets, but if you have the budget, the S6 Lite is better

Do people have success sending in broken devices that don't power on etc? Always found it odd they list any broken tablet and then state it needs to power on. (edited)

Hi this offer is really odd in that they will literally take anything I’ve done it 6 times and one of them I sent an iPad 1 with no glass screen just the back of it and it wasn’t an issue

Hey do you think they'll drop the s8 prices soon now that their previous promotions are finished? I'm so gutted I didn't bite at the last promo

If one thing is certain about Samsung, they will drop the S8 again at some point

Ordered this recently and had to return it, it's an incredibly laggy device, it even lagged at the first language setup screen.

I gave it time to do its thing, download updates, etc and it just became worse and worse. An amazon fire tablet probably has better performance than this. I was shocked that a Samsung product can be this bad out of the box as I own a Samsung phone and have owned a large amount of Samsung items in the past. Strongly recommend not to buy this!

I managed to get a Samsung S6 Tab (I'm on it right now 😁) recently for just over £200 and it is much much MUCH better value for money with an OLED screen and much better performance and if you wanted to, you could sell the added S Pen for £30 bringing it down even more

Purchased two of these for my mum and dad and the performance seemed fine out of the box when setting them up. I'm a stickler for stuttering and lag and didn't notice either.

Were did you pick the s6 up from for £200

Any limit on how many you can purchase/trade in? Like they do for cashback - limited per household.

I've just bought two. Had to be individual purchases to qualify for discount

One per Tablet. I purchased two tablets and traded two of our Amazon fires, but in seperate transactions.

Heat for deal - 64GB is definitely the one to go for, the extra ram and storage are worth the extra money.

Decent price... I bought this for £99 from amazon (pink version)... The tablet is really bad though.. So be wary about the inadequate performance and poor screen.

If you're buying it for kids to use, it's fine. Just manage your expectations when buying this is my best advice.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of updating to the A8, trading in my current Samsung Tab A (2019) as I was really disappointed with how sluggish that was when I first got it but have just lived with it.

I saw the A8 has a TFT screen and am now wondering if it will actually be much of a performance improvement for £100...

I have perks at work through my job does that let you get onto the Samsung EPP?

Yeah that’s how I got mine, wife needed a replacement for an old iPad to watch Netflix/prime  on while she’s baking and this looks like it’ll do the trick nicely, ordered teatime last night and according to tracking, it should be here in the next hour

This is a decent deal for the 32GB version but the 64GB is really overpriced. I can't recommend it strongly enough for people considering the 64GB version to not bother and just stretch another £100 to get something like the Mi Pad 5 at that point -- which will completely mop the floor with this tablet in every way.

    £129 seems good to me.

Good deal, I have the A7 and it's been great for last 2 years or so and cost £150.

Just picked up a 3 month old S8+ for £360 though for the bigger screen.

If you are happy with the A8 screen size then go for it, it's great for streaming.
    HHNNNGGG's avatar
killer deal on the s8+, where was that?

Have they got the 4g version up there, if so anyone know the price for the 32gb one with a trade in?

Bought one during previous trade-in deal but am honestly disappointed. The plan was to somewhat replace our old iPad Air 2 which refuses to run any modern apps (though otherwise performs brilliantly). As someone else mentioned, this seems quite sluggish.

Great for watching TV on the move or YT. Otherwise I use my iPad for most other stuff

Currently own a Nokia T20 64gb tablet. Happy with it except for screen. For a 2000 x 1200 screen, the resolution when watching films etc isn't as good as it should be. I was thinking of selling it off and buying one of these, but now scared off reading some of the comments. Fear it might not be worth the effort and cost?

You can get the LTE version for 125 with code on o2. Code only shows on my o2 app but I was able to use it with new account. Only problem is credit check.

Appearing as £179 and £50 discount no longer appears available
    BigPro's avatar
It is working now, I have just tried it and it is giving £50. Although it says that the device must be able to be powered on and holds charge, which sounds like something new as it was mentioned in the comments above that the device could be broken?
  22. Rhyer's avatar
Can't get it at this price anymore. Coming up as £197 - £50 so £147.
