Really depends, the latest neo Qled LCD is better than oled imo. A lot brighter and clearer image

This has a 5 year warranty huh)I was so close to getting it for my mum just based off the fact it has a satalite input. But the lack of Dolby Vision is a little annoying. And seems to have bad viewing angles.

I've got the 65 inch, absolutely no issues with viewing angles but there are not many possible angles in my room
With regards to Dolby Vision, yes, I agree with you, but I think Samsung uses HDR10+ instead and you will not find DV on any of their models. (edited)

Also, to wall mount QLED is much thinner and consistent around the whole TV

Plus, don't get me started on screen burn

Entry level QLED with 5 year warranty, I think is an OK deal, hot.

Get an OLED for £500 with 5 year warranty than, and don't forget to post it here. I have this TV, the 65 inch and I've replaced my 48 inch Samsung 4k with it, is so much better. (edited)

Whatever! You're reading too much. I don't have any issues with the contrast and with blacks on my QLED.

Any OLED could suffer with screen burns which is a big negative. Lots of LCD TVs comes with more advanced features than some OLED TVs. So yes, black and contrast are better on OLED, brightness and colour are better on QLED, while newer QLED closed the gap in terms of black depth and viewing angles and they work in all lightning conditions. You compare a £500 TV with a £1.500 TV, voting cold, not recommending LED TVs, while most people spend under £500 on a TV. (edited)

Yeah Samsung refuses to license Dolby Vision, even if you get a model that costs a kidney.

There are advantages and disadvantages. OLED is in general better. Apart from the price and screen burn. But there is nothing funny, top specs LED or QLED are better than some entry level OLED TVs. The only issue is we cannot compare 2 different technologies even both are TVs.

It is not ignorance. An OLED TV is most of the time £1,000+. Most people will not spend that much on a TV. You are not recommending LED, in this case, most people will not have a TV. Each TV has its own market and its own pros and cons. For me, even ar the same price with a LED, screen burn is a no, so I will not go for an OLED. There is nothing ignorant on both our sides. The OLED TVs have more pros, it is true. But judging by your argument, you will vote cold on any LED TVs, these should not be sold anymore and people should pay an arm and a leg for an OLED TV. If you work with TVs, you will know that some top of the range LED have features that some OLED TVs don't have, and these features will suit some people.
Nor arguing a LED TV is better, because is not, or it is with some aspects, what I'm arguing is how did we survived without OLED TVs and how is it possible I don't have any issues with blacks and contrast on my QLED. And please don't tell me I don't notice the problems, because I've used an oled TV before. (edited)

When they come with their own product/software, replicating another one, I think they want to sell theirs instead of paying licence fees. In a way I understand them, at the end of the day, they probably spent a considerable amount of money and time in order to innovate and develop that. They probably hope theirs will take over the original or will be more attractive and cheap, so other companies will pay them the royalty fees. Sometimes it works, other time it does not. (edited)

Out of interest, where do you work? I would like to have a proper look at these tv’s side by side in home mode and not shop mode.
I went to Curry’s to look but the shop mode is misleading and shows a poor comparison. Also, the only knowledge I have is what I have read. I am downsizing my tv as my 55” is too big for me.
I am choosing between LG OLED48C15LA or the Samsung QE50QN94A.
What I’m reading tells me the blacks are better on the OLED but there is a potential for screen burn, and the colours are brighter on the QN94A and no screen burn.
    Opinions appreciated.
    Thanks.

I don’t work in a shop but do see all of these tvs daily. Stop listening to the qlcd fans about screen burn. It’s a non issue u less you watch sky news 24 hours a day.

Screen burn and brightness are lies used to sell Samsung tvs to people due to incentives paid to sales people… did you know that sales people in retail shops are not independent? Use your eyes and stop listening to the nonsense. The people peddling the lies are the same ones who said plasmas screen burn and need regassing… (ever seen a plasma regassed?!)
