Can someone give me some advice please? I own an LG 65 OLED the C9 model. The TV has developed a fault and has failed the picture test with the centre of the screen becoming distorted and a like "ink bleed" over a large section of the centre and corners of the screen (not screen burn) it also randomly powers off closes apps and has become unresponsive to remote inputs. The TV is being collected by the supplier and its most likely we will be given a voucher to replace the set if they cannot repair (which i doubt they will be able to). What can be recommended - is this a good set? The TV has to be wall mounted with inputs on the back of the set (not a box) - 65 inch and preferably not OLED as Im worried about longevity now of the screen given this and past experiences of LG which have all been bad (3 sets tried now over the past 10 years all LG models have let me down so Id prefer to steer away from LG now). I want a quality reliable set. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

This is a very good tv, as per another comment the interface has become a bit messy but once you're used to it that won't be a problem. Please double check this but I'm quite confident that the qn90 has all the ports on the set, the qn95 has the 'one connect' breakout box.

Samsung do seem to have some issues sometimes with 'dirty screen effect'. This is a near flagship model so should have been given a panel from the top of the pile. But when it arrives good idea to check it with a few flat single colour images to check the display is uniform all the way across.

Good TV, ruined by the bloated and ad filled menu system. I'd still recommend OLED for a few hundred more but great for brighter rooms.

Voted hot for the price even though I returned my one. (edited)

Try pointing dns to adguard or use pi-hole.

I bought this tv from richer sounds on Tuesday and after being a strong advocate of plasma and OLED in the past i can safely say this puts out a cracking picture in comparison to my Panasonic OLED. Now the blacks are still better on the OLED and im not a fan of the overly complex menu system but after a few tweaks the picture is outstanding.

The main reason for my jump away from OLED was screen burn, i have had plasma panels for decades my first, a Panasonic PW7 and never suffered screen burn on any of the following 3 plasmas either. but the lz980b OLED got terrible burn and was probably the least used hours wise than any plasma. So the trade offs of LCD where worth it to avoid screen burn imho. What i will say is coming from OLED and plasma the contrast is blinding on some of the manufacturer's settings, if you use dynamic you will eye surgery shortly after. But i am very impressed so far with the picture from the streaming companies and gaming. Oh the tv speakers are not as good as the Panasonic either but i use a receiver mostly so and the inputs are on the viewers right hand side as you are looking at the tv, i had to buy a few longer HDMI leadsas the previous set had the inputs on the otherside. Thanks for the info. Very useful. How is this TV regarding reflections? My TV is in a bright room and my current Samsung (RU8000) really struggles even on Dynamic picture mode when the sun shines!

Just paid 1299 for this on argos the other week. Guess I'll be going through the returns process....

Edit: Got curry’s to price match 999 but they wouldn’t budge on the £10 delivery fee. Still ended up buying in store because with the blue light discount (have to buy a voucher of equal value) it worked out cheaper than this coming in at £964 total. (edited)
