Bought these shoes last time they were on sale and found them great, the little cover at the front keeps the toes nice and warm... go one size up though!

The most noticeable benefit was the power transfer when I used them on the Turbo Trainer, they really are an upgrade over the Muddy Fox MTB shoes I got from Sports Direct!

Thanks to for the 10%off code.

Yes, I used these shoes on road bikes. It is common practice to use MTB shoes on road bikes as they are:

    - More comfortable to walk in.
    - Cleats last for ever
    - Cheaper
    - More durable and weather proof

Yes and no. More comfortable off the bike in moments where you need to walk, yes without doubt. On the bike, particularly over distance, properly fitter road shoes will often be more comfortable, largely because road pedals and cleats are much bigger and spread the pressure more evenly across what tends to be a more stiff sole which spreads the pressure more evenly across your foot. However if you also class the ease and comfort of being able to clip in and out, and you're not the most confident with clipless pedals (what these are know as) when MTB shoes are more forgiving for people learning and nervous with these.

Note, MTB shoes and Road shoes use different style medals, road uses a 3 bolt cleat standard where as MTB use a 2 bolt standard. Almost all shoes only support one type.

Fairly stiff, never tried carbon ones so couldn't compare but these feel solid and make me feel nicely connected to the bike!

On grass? gravel or tarmac? Easy on the first two, a bit of a stretch on Tarmac but doable

I am a 46 size. I went for size 47 on the last deal. I've been out in 3 rides on these, 40 mins, 1 hour and 1 hr 20mins. I have also done 3×40 mins HIIT sessions on the turbo trainers with them on. I didn't get any hot spots underneath my feet. I enjoy using them. That said, i have not done many miles as others may have done to review cycling shoes but i am glad i got a size up. Yes shoelaces are a chore sometimes when one thinks of BOA options but i don't mind at all....

It’s true - they have a softer sole. However road bikes shoes transfer more power and are better if you want to use your energy efficiently

No bike available apart from the Triban RC120 rim brakes version. It's ok with the Microshift and shimano groupset but the gaps between the 11-34 8speed cogs are too significant and i need the 105 so bad..... the bike frame is perfect and outstanding for me

The triban frames are amazing aren't they . Feel your pain with an 8 speed but all that time with the gaps in gears is making you a stronger cyclist

I'm seriously tempted by these. Currently have a pair of Shimano R065 SPD-SL I got off eBay with SPD pedals. Only just started with cleats but wondering if these MTB shoes would be better with these. To be honest the worse thing at the moment is my toes get seriously cold out on rides and no amount of thicker socks is solving it

Try some of the cheap shoe covers you can pick up for £10-£15 should solve your cold feet problem.

On a scale of 1-10, about a 6, similar to the DHB Dorica's from CRC. I use mine for gravel when there might be some walking. Sole has a more rubbery grip than the DHB's too. Recommended

They are nice. my old velcro Shimanos are built slightly better, but these look nicer. Make sure you've got some decent socks or little bootie covers in the cold. The toes are freezing

If you mean to clip into a wattbike that has standard pedals fitted then yes if you add SPD cleats (small metal ones with two bolt fitting).

Lots of cleats on the market so they always come with the pedals, you'll never get shoes with pedals.

Yes Wattbikes normally come with Wellgo pedals although gyms will replace them with all sorts of things.

Wattbike pro are the older E148 3-in-1 pedal which has an SPD compatible mount opposite the cage. The toe cages sit on a SPD-SL type pedal. Note for road shoes users although Shimano SPD-SL cleats will work due to copyright purposes the Wellgo cleat is slightly different and will be rough clipping in/out. The good news is cleats are cheaper than Shimano.

Wattbike Atom come with really cheap E179 cage pedals based on the assumption that you are going to bin them and fit the same pedals you use on your other bikes.

Top tip if you have never removed wattbike pedal cages there is a knack. Best to wait until the gym is empty to practice rather than pulling a wattbike over on top of yourself in front of a crowd

I bought these on Amazon for £63.99 in April 2019. I couldn't recommend them more. They look casual, you can easily walk in them for short distances. I've had them for almost 2 years now and still going strong. The only downside is that you will need overshoes in the cold because of the mesh at the front. Perfect for warmer weather though as they provide good ventilation.

Some people comment that they even wear them in the office but I don't really fancy the loud orange with smart wear
