Not a bad price for a BIG budget LCD. However, if you happen to live near any of the three Richer Sounds branches that still have some clearance stock then you could get it for a mere £499.95.....

What's the response time like on these?

About 1.5 seconds from clicking the 'on button' on the remote. Might be a bit quicker if the button on the side of the TV is pressed, but you'd need to factor in the time between getting up from the sofa and arriving at the TV.

    ...........sorry, couldn't resist!

    It's quoted as 4ms

What's bad about it being a 60" LCD?Is it purely because it's not LED

He read an article once that said that any screen over 40" must be plasma otherwise your eyes will explode.

I would prefer not to, got the TV & it's great & use it as 50Hz. Also got a 46 & just the same. Perhaps u need to visit an optician?

3D is a good feature, I've got it but don't use it all the time but its good to have for the crack. Wifi is good to saves you having cables all over, Skype I agree on just use your phone/PC/Laptop.

I bought one of these recently and have just had JL pricematch retrospectively. This TV is excellent for the money. I don't find any issue with viewing irrespective of the scan frequency.

I emailed John Lewis yesterday and they have told me today they are willing to price match. But I dont need a new TV do I? :-)
