having used both recently, id say the tower fan somehow feels like its blowing marginally cooler, but the pedestal/desk fans have a lot more punch to them. Argos do a decent desk fan in black for £17.99.
The tower fans i have have all started creaking when turning (a lot more weight in them) and aren't as robust with kids around!
I got a similar one from Aldi but it's quite loud so I've been looking for something a bit quieter, subscribing to onlyfans didn't return the results I was expecting 😁

If you buy a decent tower fan they are great mine is so powerful i can not put on highest setting its much better than a normal fan seem to blow cold more and not just circulate the warm air like pedistal fans ignore this guy who said not bery good must of bough cheap

Unlike Aldi, it is instore only, and no reserve etc, which is sad at these time of age, you would expect them to have online sales dept. so better queue up and hope you see some when you get there, and not leave empty handed (edited)

I phoned Lidl to ask and they said they can't check stock in stores and they couldn't tell me when they will get any in stores. That's not good. Aldi are able to give stock info.

This is a recurring deal, they usually have several during the summer. Obviously some stores are better than others for stock
Asda have these for £25 but they are also 35 watts. While the Lidl ones are 50 watts. I am not sure if that means more air flow from the Lidl's ones.

I just got a pedestal fan from Lidl in Brixton for £19.99. They got them in today. They didn't get the tower ones in the end. They got the pedestal ones instead. They have a timer and have a remote control too. If you want one, you'll have to go quickly.

It will cool you down, through convection.
