Why oh why would you put the flying lead cable input on the top of the unit That’s a leak waiting to happen. The flying lead position should go into the unit somewhere at the bottom … and that way it’s very unlikely to get water ingress. As others have said I very much doubt this set up is IP65, and will keep water out for any length of time.

did always wonder that being a trained tech you would normally loop up from the bottom and when wiring utilise a drip loop. I did buy the older model which had top input, it has been fine up to now regarding waterproofing, in fact, it has been better than some I paid double the price for.

Tempted by good reviews but worried it's not really IP65 and water will kill it within a year like a lot of cheaper solar products...

A sensor outside and light inside a shed. Should be OK

I bought this, but it came faulty, in fact, it hardly lights up, and yes sensor is on the panel too, and not the light from what I remember (though Image on this model looks like they listened to my previous feedback and now have it on the light side)! So, you might want to check to see where the sensor is positioned on this model.

It has, however, been up on the wall for over a year and I live in a flood zone that gets a lot of rain, it does seem to be enduring all weather. The only major downside is the solar panel does seem quite small! (edited)
