I’ve got very similar to this, just replaced the desktop with a larger ikea desk top, for about £20 and it’s great for what I need. I have 2 24 inch monitors, my laptop and plenty of space for keyboard pad, Alexa and phones etc.

Get yourself a walking treadmill and it’s a nice little bit of extra exercise to split the day.

Which IKEA desk top did u use and how did u fit it? Thanks

Like the digital adjustments but 60cm is not deep enough for a serious desk setup with big monitors and such

How big are your monitors? I WFH and my hobby is gaming. 2 x 27" mounted on arms along with 2 keyboards, 2 mice and 2 headset stands. Even got a plant and my 63.5cm worktop is plenty depth.

looking for on that can fit two 28 inch displays side by side and a desktop tower. Any suggestions?

You should do the maths to figure out how much desk you need. I'd advise 70x140cm minimum, but you should consider whether you really need a tower on top of the desk rather than on the floor. Duronic make good high-quality standing desks. I wouldn't recommend spending £144.95, you'll be looking at 2-3x that.

Great price but that spliced table top would be getting swapped immediately if it was mine to a solid one.

What's wrong with the spliced tops? Don't own one of these so not sure what the disadvantage is

I can't rate Songmics highly enough for build quality and price. If I hadn't already bought two static desks from them, I would go for this in heartbeat.

Far too little desk space for modern monitors and desktops. Fine for a sun 13” laptop.

I just got a similar desk today brand is Homidec. I didn't go for electrically movable / standing as there isn't any proven benefit to using a standing desk from a health point of view. I did some research and it's not clear that it has any benefit. Anyway if you do believe it may then good luck but I wasn't willing to pay for dubious health benefits.

"The idea you should be standing four hours a day? There's no real evidence for that," he says. "I would say that there's evidence that standing can be bad for your health." A 2005 study in Denmark showed prolonged standing at work led to a higher hospitalization risk for enlarged veins.

But standing doesn't have to be harmful, says Lucas Carr, a behavioral medicine professor at the University of Iowa who was not involved in the meta-analysis. He thinks as long as you stand in moderation, you can still reap some benefits.

"The health benefits of standing are not well-known," Carr agrees. "But you're going to burn more calories standing than sitting. I know it's not a tremendous amount." Still, he says, "those calories every day over many years will add up."

Carr says the finding of the Cochrane review doesn't mean that standing desks and variations are useless. It just means there hasn't been enough study of the desks to say either way. "The state of the science is definitely early," he says. "There needs to be longer studies with more people to get a good sense these desks actually cause people to stand."

So it's an assumption this is beneficial for health but Scientifically not enough evidence. There is a lot of evidence that walking about helps. So I would advise saving the money, keep sitting down and then set reminders to have a break then go for a 5 minute walkabout every 30 mins to an hour depending on your work day and what is allowed by your employer

Heat 🔥 This is really great value. If you have the budget better to get one with dual motor and a better load capacity with 3 section legs but will be a lot more. I have one but was double the price.
