    looks like a good deal however, the speaker is almost 4yrs old and going on their update and posts on WhatHiFi - the expectation is a newer more up to date version will be released soon. I'm holding out for sure.

    Exactly this. I want this ‘series’ so bad, so the temptation to bite at this price is unreal. I expect the Gen 2 would be £400-450 though. 🥲

    Waiting for the gen 2 move rumoured to release this summer. However if it goes closer to £200 I’d bite

    Being as we're now at the end of may and there's been no update on the rumours/speculation, I'd be extremely surprised if the "summer 2023" release is going to happen. We'd have seen more 'leaked' details by now (like we did with the Era). They've already surpassed their commitment to release 2 new products per year so I'd be betting on late this year (Christmas) or very early next year.

    Yeah I think Sonos stick to two products a year, so I'd doubt another item soon.

    Maybe next year Move 2 and Era 500?

    I have no need for more Sonos but it's always tempting! haha

    I went for this deal due to the fact that 6yr warranty is included in this price. JL is only 2 yrs. On a "portable" unit, it is at greater risk of failure.

    Yeah i agree with the above - a new model must be due soon which will surely mean they will clear Move stock so may be worth holding out.
    Also unless you have a large garden a roam is more than powerful enough at around a third of the price. (edited)

    So, what would you suggest with better sound quality, portability, wifi and bluetooth connectivity with a decent app and cheaper?

    Good price, I have 7 devices but absolutely hate the app. Im guessing the Era move will be available soon, im wondering how an upfiring speaker will sound outdoors

    Terrible, I suspect. Upward firing speakers need a ceiling to reflect the sound off.
