Maybe you have a bad one. Mines been faultless from the start.

Is this the best speaker you can get for this price or is there anything better you can get for a few quid more? (edited)

As always your mileage may vary, but I have a 20W Soundcore Boost (Soundcore being Anker’s premium-ish audio brand) which can often be picked up around £40 and I would say definitely worth the money. After that you're dropping more serious cash for Bose etc.

Having said that these are fine for what they are, I had an older model which was ok for camping trips. (edited)

Decent sound for size and good for the money vs others, I find it ideal for light listening / podcasts in the bathroom as it’s water resistant. Have had no issues with battery our 2 units after 6 mths still play for days

I've got had a zamkol 106 speaker for a few years which is near on these specs.

Would this be a worthwhile upgrade as I'm noticing my battery not lasting as long.. unless I've been blasting it on loud consistently, I only really get 5hrs with bass boost on

From what I saw of yours, I don't think I'd bother. Looks like a great little speaker
