I got mine a few weeks back. Great console but does have some glaring issues that are often overlooked.

It only has 600Gb of space for games. GT7 is 125Gb 😳 you can get an external hard drive, but PS5 games cannot play from there. (PS4 can).

    Does not support Bluetooth headphones.

You need a subscription for online back up - which is bonkers - and they have just gone upbeat 30-40%.

Controllers have a history of drift problems (google it) I’d already had to replace one. (edited)

You can install a second internal SSD card which PS5 games can be played from, as long as you choose the right speed one. Compatible 1TB cards are around £50 now. (edited)

Not a bad price but might be worth waiting for the PS5 Slim.

Don't think there's any point waiting

people who bought PS5 after the price increase must be mad since it immediately has a huge price drop

I like to be 10 years behind the current consoles. That way I get the games cheap. All the games you are paying big bucks for today, I will be getting for next to nothing. (edited)

    And if they don't?

    Worth waiting until Xmas?

No, if you want to buy as a gift u better off buy now, if slim version comes it will be very hard to find and offers start to disappear after September with exception of Black Friday where they usually only sell crap stuff

No wonder these are selling so well.

    These prices are very good

I dabble in repairing consoles trust me Xbox is the much better system. So much goes wrong with ps5 most only last 2 years before liquid metal starts leaving dry spots or PSU fills up with dust. No 1 tip make sure you have it horizontal well last much longer.

I like them both but seen way more failures on ps5 I've never seen before. WiFi chips going bad, PSU exploding never seen that type of failure before.

I do like ps5 but if you want it to last use it horizontal and get a nvme drive and only play games off that. Try to keep it off the floor to stop it collecting dust.

How can 'most only last 2 years' and we still not have a deluge of release consoles failing?
