About this deal

Things aren't being shared evenly in the chocolate supply chain. The industry is dominated by a handful of chocolate giants looking to maximize profits. As a result, farmers are forced to live in poverty.. leading to child labor and slavery. Tony’s Chocolonely exists to change that. Child labor and modern slavery are against the law - it's illegal and it needs to stop. Our vision: 100% slave-free chocolate. Not just our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example to show the world that chocolate can be made differently. We can't do it alone. Alone we make slave-free chocolate but together we can make all chocolate 100% slave free. The more people who join our mission and share our story, the sooner 100% slave free becomes the norm in chocolate. We all have to roll up our sleeves.. are you in?
About this item

  • Belgian Fairtrade dark chocolate with almond pieces and sea salt. At least 51% cocoa and suitable for Vegans
  • Our vision is 100% slave-free chocolate, not just our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. With incredibly tasty chocolate we lead by example and show the world that chocolate can be made differently: in taste, packaging and the way we do business with cocoa farmers
  • Noticed that our bars aren't equally divided? That's because the chocolate industry is unequally divided. The profits aren't shared equally, so our bars can't be either

Same price for the last month according to Keepa graph in the OP.

And the same price at Tesco & Ocado.
Before that it was the same price at Waitrose & Sainsburys.
Basically, it's always this price somewhere. (edited)

It’s just not great quality. There’s a waxy texture to this stuff.

Really not sure why Tesco have chosen them for a full shelf

I managed to sicken myself off these chocolate bars with the cheap deal a few months ago. Bought a shop load and stuffed them in my belly like a pig. I went a bit green around the gills.
Every time I see a Tony's Chocolate bar now I have flashbacks 🤢 (edited)

I do the same. I over buy, followed by overeating and make a pledge not to do it again. The very next day i've reset and so the circle continues. (edited)

I find this is one of the only supermarket brand chocolates that is worth the price.

Most chocolate to me tastes like palm oil with cheap cocoa powder now. It's like every company has slowly slowly chipped away at its quality ingredients and sizes over the years, cheaping out to save money and maximise profits. Now we are in this end stage where everything tastes useless.

One of those chocolates I've still to like enough to buy more than once!

    It's not really Belgian chocolate.
It's Dutch chocolate mass produced in Belgium.

This flavour is cheaper on S&S: £9.00 for 4 bars = £2.25 per bar.
Same price (without S&S) for White Raspberry Popping Candy amzn.eu/d/2…3Fg.

Anythings better than cadburys. Or nestle for that matter.

Nothing but marketing. Doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the price suggests

    Vegan:

    May contain eggs

    Huh?
    Joseph_JonesxAE's avatar
Means it was probably made in a factory that deals with eggs. Totally vegan factories are rarer and expensive, so companies can save money by using mainstream factories. In all likelihood it won't contain egg, but they have to cover themselves because of allergies etc.
