Will say that if you can get a flexible valve connector/adapter to use with these I highly recommend it. You end up being quite vigorous with these around the valve stem, and you can actually wear through the inner tube where it rubs against the rim if you're not careful. Nothing worse than getting everything ready, thinking the tyre's almost pumped up and then hearing the woosh as you realise it's irreparably screwed.

Traditional cycle pumps are much better than mini-pumps. They are very cheap, come with a flexible hose and are easy to fit to a frame with the right accessories. They also pump up tyres much faster.

Wilko do one for £4 but many other places do them cheaply too.

Ok for when you have to change a tyre on the road. Can take some time. Probably fine for a road bike. Gravel you'll be there a while.

It's been my favourite MTB pump for over ten years now and does a 2.5inch wide tyre in no time helped by the double action. Which conversely makes it harder to use on road tyres for higher pressures, but still gets there.
Prefer my "Topeak ninja p" for road as it fits in my seat post as I don't want it in pockets or on frame, (and no it's not a qr post, i use a multi tool on occasions I need it). CO2 is not my bag. (edited)

Amazon have now matched the price. So 9.99 for those with prime.

Excellent pumps, on my second one now but it's been 15 years. The dual action is a great bonus but it does stop working in the end, I believe the rubber seal internally perishes. £15 back in 2007 from Halfords, so take into account inflation, this is a bargain.

One should always take inflation into account where pumps are concerned

Just received mine, will use it for emergencies only so the dual action feature will come in handy on the road. How does the built in gauge work? Can’t see it anywhere
