Lots of features and amazing price but the EPG for Terestrial TV is painfully slow on these as they use Freeview play.

Beware though, the photos show a satellite / cable socket on the back, which isn't there! I bought one from Amazon and they don't have them despite the photos... Toshiba eventually agreed those photos should've be used. I think they have used them for other countries (edited)

It's for TVs with FreeSat tuners. Not many supported in the UK any more as they want you to buy their £200+ recordable TV for FreeSat.

I think LG TVs still support it in the UK, well my last one did!

How is this TV? DLED is a bit unusual; any difference?
Also, how is the TV guide? I heard its very slow to use. Does anyone know if it has USB recording of live tv?

Bought the 50" version a few weeks ago from JL. TV guide is awfully slow for my liking. Takes a few seconds to load and another few seconds to change to a different channel through the TV guide. Those seconds feel considerably longer than my Roku TV. I always liked my Fire TV stick but as a smart TV operating system, it feels very basic and slow. Despite Roku being a proprietary closed source operating system, I really enjoyed my previous Hisense Roku TV which also had the USB live TV recording. Unless your budget is tight and you like having the 5 year peace of mind warranty from JL, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My advice, spend a bit more for an Android/Google TV. Good sounds, and picture quality for money, and a stylish stand.

How does it compare with the Hisense one posted recently for £299 on Amazon?

The Hisense may be a bit better, but I doubt there's much in it.

The low end Tosh TV's don't tend to be great, but for that price it's still very good value for what you get.
Unless you mamage to grab a TCL 55" for around this price when the ebay codes are doing the rounds, this would be a good option. (edited)

Has anyone successfully been able to get the live tv pause/record to the USB drive working? It apparently has it but I have fiddled around with formatting USB sticks in the TV and it keeps saying "unable to pause right now" or something
