Just been reduced from £6/stick. Probably a similar price to local timber merchants but very decent from Wickes. When I ordered last year I got c24 but of course no guarantees as advertised as c16.

It'll be more bowed than someone with rickets.

Only an anecdote but the delivery I had last year was spot on....every piece was straight ...have got next batch coming tomorrow so will report back. Of course you can also choose in store.
I had less luck with B&Q's untreated CLS

Good price for a national chain, but check your local timber merchants, prices fluctuate but currently £4 at my local

    Thanks. Title edited.
3m and 3.6 are available at a roughly equivalent price per m.

£3.19, plus delivery depending on what you get.
I ordered a load of stuff from them recently, came from Travis Perkins.

but most importantly, your link is for a completely different product. Put it outside and it'll be covered in mould and mildew within a couple of weeks

Check your local timber yard first, mine is currently £3.54 for 2.4m.

Thinking of putting a stud wall in the garage, guess these would be a good buy with mdf boards? I was first thinking cladding for looking better but seem abit expensive for for the job. I need to do a new gate also was will this be ok for a frame?

Avoid MDF boards. I had MDF as garage shelves and they were a breeding ground for mould.

Nothing special; I'd routinely sell 4.8s of proper scant (bigger than CLS) for 8 quid all in. The site won't let me say the name of our NW merchants chain, though.

That's a good price. Thanks (edited)

Can this be used as stud for garage conversion or c24?

You probably don't need treated CLS as treated is more for external use or places where its likely to be exposed to the elements. Untreated is a bit cheaper tbh.

Thanks, needed for garden project, so with Trade percentage off as well, that is a decent price! Am collecting, so any pieces that are warped are just swapped out

    Seems like a great price!

This is the nearest they seem to offer. It's not CLS just sawn and they don't do 2.4m lengths, but similar price per lm. materialsmarket.com/pro…-8m

I suspect that was untreated CLS?

OK, mine have arrived this morning. 30 sticks of C24. All completely straight and very happy.

Just picked up 20 in store all straight as I picked my own and stamped as C24 on the wood but C16 on there labels
