    Careful not to press down on your pan with these, the live wire inside will contact the base and you'll get a loud bang......

    Cheap, but induction is so much faster and safer.

    In the long run would induction not be cheaper overall?

    These take a while to heat up.

    Very true, Induction is a bigger layout at the beginning, but you will reap that back with the massively lower costs and speed of cooking that induction bring.
