You can also travel to Kraków from Katowice. It takes about 1.5hr on coach or 1hr on train.
Although I wouldn't unless necessary, I used to do it when skint and the price difference was large.

Mine advice to anyone thinks this airport is near Olsztyn should check it on any map app. I use it once and I can say this airport is middle of nowhere. 30 km from town. No taxis around so better arrange your transport accordingly.

You are correct it is the middel of nowhere but you can prebook taxi from local town (Szczytno) or easily hitchhike into town.

Great prices to visit a fantastic country.
Highly recommend Gdansk, Wroclaw and Krakow.
Poznan also, but beware the whole historic city centre is currently a massive building site.
I visited last September, got some great pictures with JCBs and men in high vis jackets and hard hats.
Think it's a huge building project ongoing until autumn 2023.
Luckily, I visited Wroclaw afterwards which made up for the disappointment of Poznan.

"men in high vis jackets and hard hats"? - that sounds like fun. What nightclub did you go to?

One thing to mention.. For anybody into their craft beer like me, some of the Polish cities are amazing for it. Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow and probably more!
