Is this bike in the post better than this one - Giant Stance 29 2 Mountain Bike 2023 ?? (edited)
    whatyadoin's avatar
Yea better branded components but two very different bikes the giant trail bike with 130mm travel will be better on regular riding. This bike could be ridden on the toughest terrain , you’ll see higher spec’d vitus sommets at this weekends redbull hardline (free to watch on the app) (edited)

God I’m tempted. I don’t need a bike of this spec at all but it looks great. Must resist.

    MUST RESIST

now kind of glad it’s not on C2W yet as they id have no excuse as it would be sub £900

C2W is usually done on list price (£2699.99) not discounted price - so this deal is cheaper.

OK, I have pretty much been about to pull the trigger on @This.Is.Dog posted.. BUT..

I have narrowed it down to this one posted, and now - Nukeproof Giga 290 Comp Carbon.

Again, as asked before, any suggestions on the better bike per £ pleaseee!!

Very similar spec level: same fork, shock, drivetrain. The giga is an even longer travel enduro bike though, so unless you have some serious elevation to ride the Sommet would be a better choice for mixed terrain and is also slightly lighter. Don't forget the Mega is a closer alternative to to the Sommet. Given the price difference alone the Sommet would be my choice, however for my own riding I have an Escarpe as I don't need the extra suspension travel (or weight)

Little bit disappointed this has been up 3 hours and no one has yet said "You can get a car for that". Please can someone fix this? Thanks
    WoodlandWanderer's avatar
You can get a 15 year old hatchback that has a dodgy MOT, 4 tyres that need replacing and 100k 'genuine' miles for this!!

Bought this in medium 3 days ago, it is a great price, cheapest it’s been. I was considering the Nukeproof mega but this has better spec, carbon frame and was £150 cheaper at the time. The Nukeproof has gone up since.

Not sure about the spec of some of the parts but undeniable a lot of bike for the price, so worth getting and upgrading. Heat.

Fantastic deal and even better if you're an XL sized rider :-)

I'm 180cm(5'11") barefoot and looking at the geometry chart I reckon I could ride this XL easily.

It doesn't appear to be an overly large XL tbh.

AmazIng price nice to vote to get over the 100 point

    Brilliant bike for the price.

It's likely a bit much for your average rider to slog around the trails but if you could only have one bike to do everything, from downhill uplifts to trail centres, it'd probably be something close to this.

Of course some of the spec is lower tier but you're getting a carbon frame, modern geo and a complete bike for £1350. Bargain!

Damn that's a lot of bike for the $.. almost better than my Rift 2 deal on black friday

    I believe this is a 2022 model.

Is it just me, or are bikes not the first thing that come to mind when you read the words "Chain Reaction"...

I'm 185cm. Too big or would be OK? Seems a real bargain.

I am just over 6'0 and ride XL if that helps

This or the Mythique VRX (currently 1399)? Thinking of places like Swinley Forest and Hadleigh.
