About this deal
This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:
One for the cash buyers here - brand new Passat in Urano grey as per the title, with a 30%+ discount.
Doesnt qualify for any PCP finance incentives so this is a cash or finance it yourself with a cheap bank loan deal! I would imagine the VW dealer would be able to get you a standard rate deal if required, but cheaper finance online.
If the link doesnt work, navigate your way through the menu system. Other colour options from +£315.

sorted byCruise control is heaven for long motorway journeys. If you e never used it, you really are missing out!
its a vw there be amazing
You are missing a trick, makes motorway driving so much easier, as for parking sensors the size of cars like the Passat and the driving position makes judging the back of the car so much easier. And yes I know how to drive been driving for more than twice as long as you. I have driven bigger vehicles than this but some of these gadgets simply make life easier.
Some of the gadgets have stopped the need for kids to be taught hill starts now but sadly haven’t figured out gadgets that stop muppets that sit in the middle lane or those that simply can’t read the road in front of them.
Cruise control - ideal for "smart" motorways or digging work on the motorway. Means you can actually concentrate on the road rather than your speedometer!
I thought that until i used Adaptive Cruise. Now that is a must have on the motorway!
Absolutely can’t believe the comments slating cruise control, an absolute must. I 30k miles per year, mainly motorway and for me I wouldn’t have a car with out this function.
Better than stuck in an office, clock watching and putting up with office politics and the usual bitchiness that you get in such an environment (edited)
Unless you're on a hilly motorway, in which case cars that have overtaken you downhill, then slow down in front of you going uphill. Does my head in. Useful for those 50mph average speed stretches though.
You’ll be telling me next there are cars with only 2 foot pedals...... (edited)
The war is over mate.
Wow a 3 year old Merc thats (a) a diesel and (b) out of manufacturers warranty. Still, if it impresses your neighbours....
Hmmm I think if you can’t drive a car safely using all of its controls including being able to maintain a steady speed while being in control and observing your surroundings and all other road users your not much of a driver. You should be able to sit at any speed without giving it a thought.
Yeah but to be fair..... they make a decent car. There’s notreally a bad car in the vag group
If you want a decent reliable family saloon the best way to research it is ring 10 taxis from private hire firms, if 8 of them are Octavias or passats that has to tell you something.
I used mine once. It worked, it’s like you press a button and the car maintains a set speed. I must be daft, I’ve been using my foot to do it for the last 35+ years!!!
So if you live in mainland UK in Wales or Scotland just across the borders you may have to pay extra for delivery - not a company I will do business with even if I lived in England.
Thing is,Its very difficult,Or may I say,Almost impossible to maintain a steady speed with just your right foot without not looking at the speedo constantly.
As has been said,Motorways are not flat, You will pick up speed going down and lose speed going up without knowing it, And the only way to stay at a steady 70 would be to stare at the speedo constantly.
Journeys are so much faster and safer with cruise control,Wouldn't be without it.
Never have I ever in 15 years of driving used cruise control
As for parking sensors or when you cross line sensors, pretty much pointless being set off within miles from a car.
Don't get me started on those b**ch @rs3 lane hoggers.
Do you know what,Your just being pathetic now, That's like me saying it only takes a second to wind my front window up,Next thing your gonna want is electric front windows,Or God forbid, Headlights that turn themselves on, Cos I'm more than capable of turning a knob thank you very much.
Would I pay extra for front parking sensors,No, I can see the front of my car cheers, But some people find them useful,Just cos I dont, doesn't make it pointless.
Radar cruise control is bliss, no need to accelerate or brake, steering assist makes it even nicer. My sisters VW virtually drives itself, shame I'm a tight wad, but the jokes on my stupid ankles, mugs.
I guess it totally depends on the job.
I do 40k+ miles a year in my company car, spend 100+ nights away in hotels, over 80 hours flying and work long hours.
That said, I’d rather burn in hell than spend 8 hours a day looking at the same four walls in an office.
It just depends how much you live what you do.
For my money, adaptive cruise control is up there with priorities like wheels and an engine each time I’m looking at a new car!
Cruise control?
Surely that is basic sensory driving skill?
A billion miles per gallon
No, I am fortunate to leave after the rush at 09:30, get on site for about an hour and be back mid afternoon.
Best job in the world, meant I was able to watch my kids grow up, see them when they got back from school and do stuff with them.
Heck, I've had the neighbours saying 'wish I had your job'.
Guess I'm lucky being home based and not having a manager that micro manages.
Driving alone allows you to relax and enjoy some banging tunes!
I have two options, Option 1, Keep glancing at my speedo, adjusting my foot to the different conditions of the motorway to keep my speed around and about the 70 mph range.
Or option 2, push a little button when I hit 70 mph,My car stays at 70 up hill and down, And I never have to take my eyes of the road.
I'm going with option 2,But would like to add, That doesn't make me or anyone else any less of a good driver than you.
I'll leave it there, as its boring now.
101% almost too amazing?
Whilst I agree that cruise control is not a ‘make or break,’ I’d certainly rather have it than not. Whilst your foot is on the pedal, your muscles are engaged, which can lead to cramps and soreness over long durations/distances. It really can be a god-send for longer journeys
I think you'd be better going for the SE Business spec model which is the next model up and gets you all of that (maybe not rear view camera - cant remember) plus upgraded infotainment, bigger alloy wheels, full climate control, satnav, etc. It comes out at £17,873
drivethedeal.com/buy…ted
The other advantage is that come resale time the SE Business will be worth more than an S with options.
