Apparent from not being wireless, how is this different from the pro controller and why is it so cheap?

Wouldn't personally get a wired controller for the switch. I feel you could pull the dock over with the switch inside.

Excellent price though.

These are 3rd party controllers licensed by Nintendo and made by PowerA.No idea what the quality is like, but these launched at £29.99.

3m cable should be enough for most people not to pull it over

I believe they don't have vibration or amiibo ability

I really debated buying these when they were released. I don't use amiibo for anything other than display pieces, so the lack of amiibo support on the controller wasn't an issue to me. On the other hand, the no vibration/ rumble feature really is a big disappointment, especially in games like Odyessy where it is not crucial, but for certain moons it would be impossible to complete without a rumble feature.

So I may purchase one at about the £10-15 mark as a spare controller for two player games like Snipperclips and Overcooked where rumble isn't as important to a 2nd player experience, and saves using a tiny joycon each.

Heat for the price as this is a bargain compared to RRP, just not ready to take the plunge personally just yet

No vibration, no motion control, no NFC (amiibo), no point!

For a lot of switch games that make excellent use of it, I agree entirely.
Hard to explain HD rumble until you experience it first hand.

I use this as my main controller for anything that doesn't require motion controls. It's comfortable in the hand with a glossy matte texture on the back - I personally think it feels better than the pro, if a little light. Can definitely recommend at this price. Also it looks nicer than any of the current pro controller options imo.

Thanks OP ordered. I was about to drop £60 on pro Controller so may as well see if I like this first for a quarter of the price.

I think wired controllers for the Switch are a backwards step myself. I used PDP controllers on the Wii U which were semi wireless (they plugged into wireless remotes) and even that seemed a little 2010.

Also think the control layout on a joy con pair sat in a comfort grip looks better.

As in separating paragraphs? Just one line spacing my end, don't know what you're seeing as I'm on mobile and looks normal to me. Apologies, let me check it on desktop shortly and see if I can see what you're referring to

Edit; GOOD LORD!! What has mobile done there, here's how it looked on mobile to me! Fixing now haha 32506659-kxuVR.jpg
