Glasgow hotels / public transport / parking

Looks like I will be going to a gig at the galvanizers yard in Glasgow in July .....I'm currently looking at hotels and seeing as I don't know the city at all I was wondering if anyone knows which area I should look to stay and public transport or taxi to the gig ? And what the parking situation is like ...

Any help and comments are appreciated as I'm totally out of my depth currently.
