Nope they are not opening the cans.

A month of free travel (London Overground's Gospel Oak to Barking) 31st August-1st October @ TFL

Lol, fair enough.

Erm, no, that's the whole point. There is free travel due to the delay in the new trains. Which have now arrived. That's eight brand new 4 carriage trains so there are trains every 15 minutes. Capacity has been doubled since a few months ago. Trains that start at Gospel Oak (closest station for Hampstead Heath), passes through Crouch Hill (for Crouch End), improve access for the new WHL, connect onto trains for Southend at Barking and in a couple of years will extend to Barking Riverside, a brand new 'town' on the Thames with 10,800 new homes and the facilities to match.

Another hip-hop nobody

This line is horrible, I wouldn't jump on it even if it was free. The trains consists of two carriages, come every 30 mins. and people board it regardless of if it's already packed. And, you have to fight it out with the EU self-claimed builders from Walthamstow and Leytonstone.

Wow . That worked quickly. 2 refunds on the way Thank you op

Need to register then. Fed up with tfl too

This should actually be done automatically by the government/TfL if they gave a crap rather than having to use a 3rd party website where there most likely is a catch such as data abuse.

Good service. Must have got £80 back so far. It’s important to keep your cards up to date if you use contactless. Also, they pay the contactless payments back onto the card. Sometimes the login is a bit awkward on iPhone, but just save your TFL login into the password saver and it should work on the reclaim website

Don’t wobble your head love it’s a joke! Jesus! Guess what! I’m not actually a bear either *gasp* and it’s not a rag it’s from a little thing called the internet

What rag did you get that from? The mass media spreading ignorance to the masses.

I was on a train heading in to Manchester centre with a guy wearing one of these badges people saw the badge and no one offered him a seat, it was obvious he was struggling and had a visible disability (not all disabilities are visible). I was standing also or I would have rightfully offered him my seat. People aren’t as alert or compassionate any more and I’m only 33 but I’ve noticed it

Cheers I dont know about this

Obviously they are making money somehow but i wasnt aware of it.

Of course you do! Reeclaim is getting access to your entire travel history. Very soon they will be selling it to advertisers and retailers in order to "OFFER" you some tailored services. From their website: So what’s the catch? How does Reeclaim fund itself? Our new app (launching soon), will feature a Rewards Program offering discounted deals curated specifically around your places of travel. Reeclaim will receive a commission from the merchant for every deal redeemed.

They dont take anything out of your refund, not sure how they are making money

Also taxi’s are by Citymapper. They’re great though and usually cost £2 a trip. Always shared/pooled! They also have boundaries. Zones 1/2 I think.

Sorry guys.. I was told this wasn’t going to be allowed as a deal so forgot about it. I think everyone has covered the extra details. Interesting to hear it’s a 4 week purchase. Didn’t get that far with it because I don’t travel that much but good to know @LadyEleanor

Is it not £10 a week credit on the taxi service as per gaurdian article?

Unlimited taxis? V.Hot if so

Reading the info, it looks like the first package is the equivalent of a zone 1-2 travel card. The offering is £31 per week vs tfl’s £35.10. (So it is more equivalent to tfl’s monthly travel card @ £134.80) The second package adds access to bike hire and citymappers own fleet of minivans.

None, to my knowledge. Stick with the same contactless card and you get the same daily and weekly fare caps like Oyster.

Technology and complexity never make life easier. Usually customer pays for the failures in tfl investment. Today barriers are often left open due to shortage of staff. With mechanical system they either had the machines fixed or guards at barriers. In the oyster or credit based system is a story of economy getting messed up by corrupt leaders, money disappears out of circulation, more computers replace people, more money disappears. Citizens left to absorb costs. You pay for forgetting, you pay for reclaiming in the time taken.

Thank you. Just applied for a bacs refund online.

I need a reminder for all the bad service over crowded noisy and most of all extortionate prices! But then others might say we should be happy we have a service

Ide buy it for a tenner but 25 quid? Guess it's London prices!

As someone who used to drive from London to Farnborough and also lived outside of London for 40yrs, TFL (the staff and the service) are great. I spend an hour on the tube each way and whilst it's not perfect, it's one of the best things I pay for. Bear in mind that the reasons for a lot of the strikes are skewed by the media and the big bosses. Unless you're stuck on the Central Line, I can't see a reason to complain!

OMG, why? :{

There’s a huge fan following for TfL and the underground. Old tube paraphernalia can sell for a fortune. I wouldn’t bother with the plastic tat in this listing but you can get plenty of quality though cheap souvenirs at TfL’s Depot open days which happen a few times each year:

Hit and miss. I find that calling them after they reject the claim is the best way to sort out the refunds.

I know this is an old thread but it still exisits so not sure why it is expired. I'm finding that every single request is being rejected by TFL for legitimate journey delays and I'm having to email them again. It's not as though I make a lot of claims - less than 5 per year and I use the tube daily. Is anyone else getting a lot of rejects too?

Has nothing to do with him, he's pretty useless, these guys are separate from tfl, and the refund policy has been around before him. Tfl should run the automatic refund but they rather steal your money.

Just another gift from Uncle Sadiq ;)

Nice one. had no idea this existed. Tried numerous apps without success, and have been trying to remember to check manually once a week. This is ace.

Unlimited? Handy to know, thought it was only 2 buses for the fare of one.

I didn’t know it was 70 minutes. Sometimes when I pass the 60minute mark I give up on using the bus and use the tube instead. So thanks for the heads up!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned its any number of journeys started within 70 mins - not 60. As long as you touch the card on the reader for your last journey within 70 mins of touching the reader on the first journey the fare is £1.50. The last journey could take an hour or more - but as long as you started it within the 70 minute time the fare is still £1.50 There is a youtube video showing you can get from central London to Heathrow for £1.50 taking 3 busses. Remember this is busses and trams only. Tube and overground trains not included.

I suppose the next step is to try a contactless £30 top up at a manned tfl station office counter... Can anyone report back, please? ( I'm not going out today)

The self vending Oyster machines do not seem to accept contactless Amex at the two stations (one of which was London Warerloo) that i attempted to try this 'hack'. Interested in knowing if anyone has managed better results? :/

Has anyone tried this, and can provide an answer, please? I only thought of this yesterday, and the offer finishes on Mon....

Dam it missed the bus again, never mind I'll try again next year.

you are correct, what the OP likely meant was people blaring music loud, and people talking on mobiles chatting information that you dont need to know, or shouting into phones. I cannot believe just belt out football scores (not even of their own teams, you can after all forgive team supporters celebrating but why belt out the scores of everyone elses teams) all the way down the corridor to those waiting to get back home and watch it. Utter stupidity. And dont get me started on blaring music down the aisles.

Nice one - i did NOT know that so heat. Given UBER's are OTT surge rates and hard to even find one tonight, will probably chance my arm on a few stops on the glorious northern line to get home. I believe the fellow travellers on board will be providing a selection of fine entertainment and i should survive the journey as long as i dont slip in someone's traditional festive new years tube vomit or pee. Wish me luck lads!

t"top up online" good luck with that, you could be waiting till monday until you see your tenner topup....great for the weekend before that! But they dont tell you it will be delayed topup UNTIL you've paid. TFL is easily the worst system I have ever used anywhere, and sadly a lot of it is down to Oyster "its not our fault, call Oyster, we dont do our own transport system RUBBISH"

Clearly states it won't let create account unless travelled in the past 8 weeks & provided security question and answer... Catch 22 with creating account or topping up online! (mad)
