Video Doorbell - no subscription

My old man has decided. He wants a video doorbell. Why, I dunno?!

Anyway it's an easy Xmas win for me. What's the best one without a monthly sub? I'm assuming he just wants to see who's as the door and if his bins been picked up.

    As a basic on a budget a Blink with a synch module, you can easily also link to an Amazon Echo show, set to create routines like switch on smart bulbs etc

    I have a deaf friend who links the Blink to Amazon so when the doorbell rings the light in the room flashes & they can look on the Echo screen who is there (smartphone is pointless for them)
