Got one as a spare for the kids - already have a Pro controller, but I don't trust them removing the Joy-Cons. This should be perfect.

    Thanks OP

Firmware update is a nightmare. Won't work on Windows 10, update software is detected as a threat (virus).

Had to use a Windows 8 laptop that isn't connected to the internet.

My first update attempt failed though and the reset button is so recessed it was hard to actually press.

Once finally updated though it connected fine and works nicely.

    Get the firmware here

I know it's double the price, but just get the Hori pad.

Double the price and half the features. This is wireless with Rumble and gyro.

Can't comment about quality but it looks cheap... as cheap as it is xD!
Probably is better to just use the joycon adaptor, but to give them a rest, this is great!
Have no time machine either so...
    Still hot!

I got one the first time It was posted. I can't fault it. It's much easier to do the special moves on Mario Odyssey with this than the joycons.

Does the Switch Pro controller turn the switch on from sleep mode? Mine seems not to?

Have this controller. Vibration does not work. I am not looking forward to updating it . Does not do special moves on NBA 2k. Ok as spare for simple games.

I'd say save your money and put it towards the Nintendo one. This is a terrible pad, really cheap with spongey buttons and indistinct sticks. I sold mine on at cost the day after receipt!

If this is the jys controller then I have one as a second controller for my daughter. I've had a few cheap third party pro controllers for the Wii u over the years but this seems better than anything I've previously purchased. Sure, it's no pro controller but it's perfectly usable and a steal for the price.

Gear best are shysters. You'll be lucky if it arrives. If you do take a punt order through PayPal so you're protected.

Maybe by running a VM with a Windows 7 image maybe?

felt the need to message again.... used this a few times. works well, BUT every time I used it and put the switch to sleep it needed a hard reset, so to be honest for me it wasn't worth the bother. Went back to the standard controllers and no hard resets needed.

I've had that too. Doesn't bother me getting up to press the button though. Rumbles working ok for me

More worried that it was doing something bad to the system. I normally just put it into sleep mode when I'm done and that's when the hard reset comes into play. If you do a full shut down at the end of the day does it still need a hard reset with you? (edited)
