Sky Mobile Sim Only 12 month deal 8GB data, unltd mins, unltd texts for £7.50 per month for new and existing customers (via Chat / Phone)

Just went on Sky Service Support on Facebook messenger and got the deal confirmed.

Probably heard about Virgin mobile shafting their customers!!

SKY sometimes has a delay sending texts but not a big deal....happy to have this and stick it to Virgin

It's not fictitious. I'm on the phone with them now signing up for the 3gb deal for the price stated - £6. The very nice young lady on the phone asked me if i was talking about the deal on Hot UK Deals and I said I was. She said she'd been reading the thread and laughing at all of the incorrect information.

We're just putting everything through with the order at the moment.

To get this "deal" you need to be a broadband or TV customer of Sky. Should you ever leave sky broadband or sky TV your mobile bill will increase.
From next month Sky are increasing their broadband prices & their TV packages are already increasing massively with people unable to renew their contracts at previously discounted rates.
This is not a deal as you need to buy a package to get the discount when the cost of the other services are over inflated & should you chose to not renew TV/Broadband then you will be paying double & also tied into the 12 month contract.

See when the girl phones me tomorrow I’ll advise that other people are interested. I’ll get her to email me the deal and I’ll screen shot and upload

If your being legit can you post a screen shot like I have please, this is what I see and if it's a legit deal to ALL PEOPLE it would show. Notice I've included the time/date. Personally I doubt it's a legit marketing to ALL PEOPLE deal.

Confirmed by me too now....

Just called up (03337592627) as my 50% off contract finishes on 2nd March.

Asked if my 50% off marker would carry on after my contract ends, they said no and asked me what I would want to do if it didn't. I said I would want my PAC.

I then got put through to cancellations who said it was no issue for me to keep the 50% off marker if I sign up for another 12 months.

They stated I wasn't on a plan which currently shows in the Mix (3gb for £6, so £3 with 50% off), so had to change me to one which is showing (1gb for £6, £3 with 50% off) to be able to re add the 50% off marker for the next 12 months.

As I have so much data saved the less data isn't an issue for the time being, but will probably change to this 10gb deal to build up more data in the bank.

Have to say the customer service from sky was awesome too.

Yes she said available on phone. New or existing customers and you don’t have to have sky tv either you can take sky mobile on it’s own

Just left them last week after the price hike, am now on Smarty Mobile. Virgin's 4g speeds are superb though shame about the price

Just cancelled all 4 of my family’s V Mob accounts, as fed up with them - technical issues, rising costs etc. This looks like a great deal for the Mrs and I, and will look out for a +15Gb deal for my two boys. (edited)

The deal exists. I rang sky yesterday first call they didn't know anything about the deal. Rang again adviser confirmed and ordered 2 sims 7.50 half price for 12 montha.
I have also received an email confirming this. They have to put a discount code in to get the half price offer.

Fake deal!

I telephoned 0333 759 0691, and mentioned the hukd deal post. Cameron, the sales agent, confirmed he was aware of the 50% off deal, and asked me to hold on till he got a discount code from his manager.


Cameron got the discount code but it did not work. He then said he can achieve the same outcome by the following process:


1. he will sign me up for a £15 deal
2. he will put notes on the account that on sim activation a 50% discount is to be applied for 12 months
3. he will call me back daily, and once I have the sim, he will activate that sim and apply the discount.
4. If he cannot call, any sales agent will be able to see the account note and will apply the discount.
5. If something does go wrong, I do have the 14 day cooling off period anyway, to cancel without charge.

Fingers crossed that all works out! Voted hot

Monday update: Sims received, contacted Sky via Facebook Messenger and the discount (after a manager was present) was applied. (edited)

I have to laugh when I think that in 11 months we may all be looking for the best deal to swap to.

£6 for 6gb is decent but if you swap does the discount still apply ?

On the my sky app, click mix, then select any of the plans by pressing yes please, it will add to your basket, once on the confirmation page the 50% discount is shown.

You can check all of this without actually changing plan....

Another year of 50% has run out. Tried to repeat it, alas didn't work. Only gave me 25% off, but considering I had 10GB a month, and have been on WiFi 99% of the time for the past year, I've switched to 2gb for £4.50 a month but then can use my piggybank if needed!

Ok so I ha dphoned them on behalf of my mums mobile account. I was basically querying something on her bill. I’m an authorised person on her account. Whilst on the phone she asked me if I was interested in a deal. I explained no as Sky Mobile is too expensive. I spoke to the lady about three mobile at £20 per month and explained that I get that deal at £12 per month. I then said I might be interested in getting one for my son for school etc. I then asked if I had to be a sky customer and was told no. She then mentioned non sky customers used to pay £10 per month for unlimited texts and mins but not on these offers. You just had to agree to the 12 month sim only deal. I said I’d think about it and she took my number and said she’d call me tomorrow. She said she was part of the sim only offer team. There’s apparently a seperate team for sim and mobile phone deals.

Any idea... Is it easy to port your existing number over to sky sim only???? Thanks in advance for any info

Jumped the gun. Just got this deal ( 8gb for £7.50) via Facebook messenger chat to sky support. Seems its only semi live and not all know about it. Can hard cap it at the 7.50 and still use the minutes and texts if you run out of data.

Shafting how just out of curiously as i just signed uo to virgin mobile?

They’re discontinuing some sim only tariffs as of April but it seems that only people that use their allowances a lot are getting penalised as I have 3 sim only deals at the same price but only one is being discontinued. (Figure that one out) You’ll get an email if you’re affected.

BT mobile offered me 20gb data and unlimited calls and texts for £15pm with £70 reward card via live chat. In the process of switching my 3 VM accounts over.

Need to be spending over £20 a month for the £50 though:
