This is ridiculous, so I ordered £60 worth c n c and they substitute with 50% decent 50% stuff I dont like so I called customer services and they refunded £30 and asked me to return to store, took cans into customer service bearing in mind I’ve still got 60 cans in my car boot and the bloke didn’t have a clue what he was doing! Took the cans back and said pop ur card in reader please, then refunded me the whole £60 and gave me £10 on a gift card !!!!
    So in summary
I’ve got 60 cans I never paid for
    £10 free gift card
£30 profit in cash going onto card.

I ordered 10 cans with my home delivery. Surprise surprise, out of stock.

But I'd ticked to allow substitutions, so they did.

They sent 12, not 10, 12 6-packs of Pistonhead lagers (selection box), which were £4.50 each.

Yes, 72 cans of "craft" lager for £5.

Last night I ordered 8 cans of the three listed as available in a click and collect order for this morning.

All were substituted - all for rather more expensive cans.

    8 each of
tesco.com/gro…694 (which would have been £14.40 bur price matched at £4.00)
tesco.com/gro…830 (which would have been £14.40 bur price matched at £4.00)
    and
tesco.com/gro…211 (which would have been £16.80 bur price matched at £4.00)

    So, no grumbles from me!

Bought 5 of each. Of the blue cans, 3 have exploded! Redecorating my kitchen in the process. Must’ve been dropped in the store. Will be writing to Tesco customer services

37979660-0ZmVL.jpgThanks OP local store - Chesterfield - had covered prices up with sold out tickets. About 5 left on shelf. Session IPA was sold out (price wasn't covered either so probably why)

This has to be the funniest story ever, went in after work at 6am to see if there was any crate left, took about 20 cans and a Tesco employee came and looked at the vacant JUPA shelf , she goes I’ve got a click n collect order here for 70 cans of this and 70 cans of the blue one she goes that will be some substitute!!
It was my bloody order for this afternoon !!!!! I said yeah sure will
  14. mypeew's avatar

Brewdog Punk, Dead Pony and Hazy Jane!

But only 26 of an order of 50. But I'll chalk that up as a win!

Picked up my order tonight, the guy was very apologetic, saying they couldn’t fulfil all of my order.
Out of 50 cans ordered, they subsituted 44 with my favourite ale, Camden pale ale! Result!

Tbf (to them) I'd say commercially a £1.80-£2.50 can of beer isn't a substitute for a 50p can particularly when people are attempting to buy in bulk, which surely they have a separate policy to cover. A win for most it seems though!

    Somebody’s getting sacked

I think the crate 6.0% is my favourite, followed very closely by the JUPA then the crate pale 4.5% then it’s joint last with the crate session / five points pale
I think we all owe evo a MASSIVE THANKYOU for quite possibly the best deal ever.
If u r a fan of craft you will prob never find a deal like this again, some of the substitutes have been off the map ... sure I seen 440ml £3 cans as subs !!!

Perhaps individual stores can pull it from their online inventory to prevent the influx of bulk orders/subs as mentioned above. It's nearly Crate o'clock time for the next raid.
