On Sunday 6th March, the Theme Park is open for a ‘private event’. Tickets are £16.50 each trough Kids Pass who are organising the event (£1 trial offer a available).

In the water park you need one adult to supervise an under 4 in addition to an adult to supervise up to two 5-8 year olds. So one adult can’t take a baby and a child to the water park, needs two adults to properly supervise them.

For this package with the theme park closed one night is plenty. Spend most of a day in the water park and then an hour or so to play the mini golf and you’re done.
so depending what time you arrive you would need to decide whether to do water park on arrival or departure day

You don’t have to book CBeebies Hotel. Two adults could stay in the Alton Towers Hotel, go to the water park which has several thrilling water slides that are not suitable for CBeebies age kids and play mini golf. Could also choose to pay to go to the spa as well. But the water park is good for adults too. (edited)

Oh there’s plenty, evenings of doing whatever you want whenever you want to, going out, cheap term time holidays with no kids around, hobbies, clean clothes with no jam on them, walls that aren’t always.covered.in.stickers!!!

    Shall I go on?

Enjoy whatever life stage you’re at, but don’t comment on a deal for families to complain, that’s just silly.

Guess it's not as dodgy as restaurants and pubs though as it's quite a large space with lots of chlorine and water/air being pushed down the tubes? (edited)
  13. DrKnavery's avatar
I'll be frank, there isn't enough data readily available to model how much "safer" a water park is than a pub. But surfaces mean very little when an airborn virus is being considered. However a pub would, by law, have to enforce face coverings when not eating or drinking. Are water parks enforcing social distancing? I don't know, if not, you could be shoulder to shoulder queuing up for the flumes.

Be careful if you're a bit fat as one of the slides goes up hill (yes I know, a slide that goes up hill !!) if your arse scrapes along the bottom of the slide you lose all your momentum and get stuck in the up hill bit and someone has to come and rescue you, then you spend the next hour filling in accident forms - all very embarrassing so save your self the trouble and just go on the ones that are DOWN HILL

There's always going to be some negative people but this is a great deal for those with kids. It's essentially £31 each for an overnight stay, two activities and vouchers for a free meal for an adult and a couple of drinks.

Thanks for posting OP. We've done this 2/3 times before with our kids and they love it.
