”Simply one of the easiest to live with TVs you’ll find anywhere, this LG OLED is an excellent choice.” ’What Hi-Fi?’ – 5 Star review.

LG’s powerful new processor - Alpha 9 Gen 4
Capable of automatically detecting and optimising the content you’re watching, LG’s powerful Alpha 9 Gen 4 processor is at the heart of making this TV a spectacular performer. Using AI technology, the picture and sound are optimised to best suit the genre – be it movies, sport, gaming or regular TV. The processor on this LG 48 inch TV also drives the brilliant AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro.

AI Picture/Sound Pro for professional sound and vision
Using a huge database of over one million visual date points, AI Picture Pro uses deep-learning algorithms to recognise content, remove noise and optimise the picture. AI Sound Pro leans from more than 17 million audio data points, identifying voices, effects and frequencies. From here it optimises the sound by genre, giving a more natural sound quality.

48 inch OLED – compact brilliance
Widely regarded as one of the finest screen technologies, OLED sets a standard for contrast and black levels that’s hard to beat. Although unavailable for many years, it’s now possible to get a 48 inch version of the award-winning technology, meaning you get all the OLED wonder but at a size that fits your room.

SELF-LIT OLED – the ultimate picture technology
Rather than using a backlight, OLED TVs feature self-illuminating pixels. This SELF-LIT technology means that you get 100% colour fidelity, infinite contrast with the deepest depth and stunning detail.

Ultimate detail - Dolby Vision IQ
For ultimate detail, in all environments, this LG OLED features Dolby Vision IQ. Dolby Vision IQ version uses data within the signal and light sensors inside the TV to adjust the picture quality for the best contrast. This improves the picture’s brightness, without ‘washing out’ the depth. You get a consistent picture quality, however light or dark your room is. Whether you’re watching a brightly lit sports event or moody movie, Dolby Vision IQ adjusts to suit.

HDR made better, with HDR10 Pro
LG’s powerful processing also helps in getting the very best from HDR10 material. Whether watching movies or gaming with HDR10 games, HDR10 Pro intensifies the regular HDR experience. HDR10 Pro automatically adjusts the brightness, enhancing colour and detail for a more vivid picture.

See the picture exactly as originally intended, with Filmmaker Mode
If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.

Game Optimiser with HFR, VRR and ALLM for a gaming advantage
Game Optimiser utilises a dedicated gaming menu, letting you select and control specific gaming features, such as Reduce Blue Light, Prevent Input Delay, VRR and AMD FreeSync. Equipped with a full HDMI 2.1 interface (all four sockets), this LG TV gets the very best from your choice of gaming source. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) mean that your TV automatically adjusts to the optimised settings for gaming – giving you a smoother and faster response.

Dolby Atmos compatible sound
With a Dolby Atmos processor built-in this LG 48” TV decodes Atmos sound tracks - giving you the potential for an even more immersive sound. With its built-in 2.2 speaker set-up and a 40 watt amp, the OLED48C14LB delivers a smooth, well-balanced sound.

where do you put the code in?

The deal had stopped working for a while. It wouldn't let you buy it online for several hours. You had to contact the store, which are all closed today and tomorrow. But, I've just refreshed the page and you can now buy it again online.

Add it to your basket. Go to the basket. Alongside where the Order total is there's a drop down for entering Gift Voucher / Promo Code. Enter GIFT100 in to there and it will refresh with the reduced price of £889.

    GIFT100 no longer works either.

There is a button-link where you can enter the code in your Basket view. It seems like the code still works:

The only company that covers burn in on oled tv's is John Lewis , and that costs £140 extra.

I have the 48C14 and Xbox Series X. I bought this as pretty much the best TV you can get for gaming, up to 120fps, low latency, great HDR, decent sound. What else do you want to know?

I presume JL will price match, as I hear they do burn in cover. Mixed views on here if worth it, I'm unsure and would appreciate guidance.

I haven't got a crystal ball, but the price has been £1000 for a couple of weeks, I reckon this is the Boxing day price. I doubt they will "run out" of C1 48'' TVs everywhere though, so you could wait a few days to make sure

This was my old 43” inch centre display that I used as a third monitor for both my company laptop and personal laptop all through lockdown, and have now replaced with this 48” LG OLED. I used it for TV, streaming, PC monitor and PS5 display with my Fanatec wheel, as well as N64, SEGA Saturn and EmulationStation display. It’s superb.

I stand corrected. It's personal preference but I won't be able to work on such a huge monitor so close to me. Obviously in terms of true blacks and HDR no gaming or PC monitor can match this but for my use of 20% gaming and 80% work it would be a no go.

This has just put me off purchasing this set for my son.

I have a CX and the 1080p is better than on a native Samsung I still operate in a spare room (PS60E6500E) - THE Pic on the Samsung is really really good..........BUT the CX pic just "pops" when fed with a good 1080p source.

Does anybody else have any thoughts on this ?
