sorted by- Video stabilisation is good
- 4k capture is as good most out there
- 60fps 1080p capture is good
- Even if the regular shooter is bad, 48MP mode in "PRO" is as good as most average cameras.
- Although 64MP camera in my previously (smashed) Mi10T Lite 5G was noticeably better in 64MP mode - and it really was - the responsiveness of this camera is excellent due to the better processor.
Other points:
- Screen brightness is good at max brightness in bright daylight BUT - YOU CAN keep it at that level without draining your battery, unlike many other phones, especially LED ones - excellent all other times.
- General performance is excellent
- Speakers are passable; ATMOS is very good.
- Bluetooth audio over LDAC to Sony headphones is out of this world.
- Headphone adapter is naff and easily lost as you would expect but works.
- Charges crazy fast. Even at "just" 33W. Still fast over QC too.
- WIFI 6 performance is first rate.
- 5G performance is >500Mbps on THREE
- We've had many updates on this phone already.
- Free case that comes with it, though clear rubber, is very effective.
- Factory fitted screen protector is good, but TBH as it's not a dear phone I took mine off - it's scratched already though I did put it in a pocket with metal objects.
- Storage space is PLENTY for anything. Still struggling to fill it up.
- It's a touch chunky with the case on
- Feels REALLY premium in the hand with the case off - but DARE you do that.
- Fingerprint sensor works pretty flawlessly
- No SD slot, but I don't miss it at all with the 256GB
- DUAL sim is REALLY good and works really well - but I've since stopped using it (ALSO, don't use sim tray 2 for your new sim until after you've ported as it won't write in that tray)
- Everything is slick and just works - as everyone has said, at this price it really puts Apple to shame. Having owned both recently, I don't miss Apple much. That said, you can obviously get better Apple devices.
Hope that's helpful to someone.
Yes in 6 months there'll be another phone that's the best buy. But I'd say, all in all this is as close as you'll get for now and is serving me really well. Consider that 3 months ago I bought this phone for 250 from Amazon and am still super pleased.
Mega impressed.
Used the proximity sensor fix and tested it - no issues.
"crap camera" cannot be distinguished from most phones unless a complete and utter photography nerd.
Hot.
Taken from another thread.
Just noticed there's £20 off the Redmi smart band pro (normally £44.99) for Redmi week so could maybe get one instead of something random just to get the price over £200 for not much more money. (edited)
But...the value is insane. It's less than £200, it's very fast, the screen is nice, the battery is pretty good and it has NFC (which the F1 I had didn't). The F1 felt more revolutionary but this is a solid performance upgrade that keeps up with modern phones without breaking the bank. I don't love this phone like I loved the F1, but it is a very, very solid purchase. (edited)
For anyone looking to buy, please bear the following in mind....... the proximity sensor has major issues, whereby it presses random buttons and makes random calls when it's in your pocket, even with the phone locked. The second problem is that every four or five calls, the screen goes blank and phone becomes totally unresponsive until the other party ends the call. A friend bought this same phone a few months ago and he's got the exact same problems, which suggests they are common issues. I was going to return it but did a factory reset to see if that would help and fortunately it did so everything works fine now. I suspect there must have been something pre loaded that caused these problems as they were there from day one so my advice to anyone who buys this is to do a factory reset before you start using it!
EDIT: A few weeks after I wrote the above on another thread, the same problems are back. There is no permanent fix, I believe, as the proximity sensor 'fix' is a bit of a joke because you have to recalibrate the compass more or less on a daily basis........ both myself and my friend are returning our phones to Amazon. (edited)
Good spot
I recommend to watch the whole video, there's a lot of ads to turn off
1000 points for £10 (Use MI points at checkout). Don't buy a voucher with the points, it won't work.

This is a good starting point for gcam and how to get going celsoazevedo.com/fil…to/
You need the APK and the specific config for the f3.
The one I've used for a couple of days without issue is circled in the snip
Once you have gcam, all these comments above on the camera are obsolete. You can hide the stock camera and gcam appears in the app drawer
What are you on about! I just took a selfie and it`s perfect
Can you please elaborate on the fix please as I'm interested in getting this phone but worried about the PS issue?
Someone in another thread literally 2 days ago said theirs has a faulty proximity sensor lol. It can't be fixed, it's a hardware problem!!!
It's been cheaper, under 180 one time.
Phone is fantastic when you leave it on a desk though, no issues at all. (edited)
Apart from the inconvenience, the dodgy proximity sensor can actually be quite dangerous. I have the phone in a cradle when I'm driving and on this one occasion, forgot to put my Bluetooth headset on and got an urgent call. I pressed the answer button and the screen went blank so wasn't able to switch to speaker mode, after which I couldn't end the call OR communicate with the other party. Eventually, they hung up and because it was an urgent call, I had to faff around with the phone in order to call back, all whilst driving on the motorway. My advice is to avoid this phone......... there's a reason why the price has tanked so much in such a short time!! (edited)
No but if you've got over 1000 mi points saved up you can redeem them to offset up to 20% the price, so 1000 points would knock a tenner off, 1575 points £15.75 and so on.
Camera does a decent job, if you want a something better get a dedicated camera.
BSG_8.1.101_PV4 currently
It's only a temporary fix that needs to be repeated every time your phone reboots and/or the sensor gets decalibrated, which can be daily......... not really something I want to be doing regularly or would remember to do regularly even if I had the inclination to do so!! (edited)
That's why I bought this. Not to use as a phone but a mobile emulation device.
Look in the unpaid section of your account. This happened to me yesterday. The order sits there for 2 hours
No 100% remove existing one first.
Not stock. Here is the link forum.xda-developers.com/t/k…51/
Saying that. Crdroid stock kernel is still decent.
I tried the popular ROMs first and settled here. It reduced the amount of Magisk modules and Xposed modules I needed to flash, like increasing volume steps. Unless ArrowOS has added that. Its just an example. I don't think ANX Camera works with ArrowOS either, so if you want stock MIUI camera, it's not a great choice. You can't go wrong with either overall as they're so much better than stock. (edited)
