White, black and red in theory could - as the old stock was used up, new stock would be made with the updated springs.
They were £44.99 but there was a £7 off code for first time amazon hub counter collection. Closest to me is only about 200 metres away so it was a win/win.

Not for general PC use no - the Xbox controller is much better integrated into the Pc eco system. Button prompts in game are usually always Xbox & sometimes even using a Ps controller…it will still give Xbox prompts. The PS5 controllers have to be plugged in, whereas Xbox controllers you can use a wireless dongle for low latency connections. And lastly you occasionally need to use Xinput or some other 3rd party program to interface between the DualShock/DualSense controller & the Pc as they don’t always have native support like the Xbox ones do.
In short, as much as I love the new dualsense controllers, Xbox pads will give you far less headaches + ease of use on PC.

From what I've seen in the community, all of these coloured controllers (including black) are the upgraded ones. The only controllers where it could be a lottery are the white ones. At least that's the consensus on reddit and YouTube

I agree about the blue, but the cosmic red goes nicely alongside the purple. The purple was hard to get at £44.99 as only game had it at this price, and only for 2 days.
This is actually the route I took. Choose the free "Standard 5 day delivery" yesterday, arrived 10 minutes ago.
I've bought both the Purple and the Nova Pink during the sale. I'll keep the controller that came with my PS5 as a spare and once "Days of Play" finishes, I'll sell my other White controller for around £45 - £49 and get my money back for one of the colours I've bought. (edited)
Is the Nova pink more like a neon pink in person? It's impossible to tell from pictures and videos online as they show the colour differently.
It's certainly bright. I don't think I'd describe it as neon, but a bright bubblegum. Wife wanted it, it's really grown on me.
