I went last night and bought pax wardrobes. Insisted on going to self service and split the bill into £100 sections and used the IKEA family card to get £10 off each time. Saved £50! Thank op. I think if you go to the self check out you'll be ok otherwise the cashier may say you can only use IKEA card once, when clearly you can get the discount as many times as you like. That said if you have the time you can always sign up with different emails which is a pain.
I've had no end of problems with furniture from Dumelm, i wouldn't ever buy a sofa from them again. Damaged three times when taken delivery, seem to have no quality control.
Nope , its £10 total discount given with a spend of £100 or more , going through twice wont work unless you have another Ikea family card registered to someone else that you can perhaps use (edited)
If you're an IKEA family card member, then you qualify...as far as I'm aware, it's for all Family Card members (as it was previously)😁
Don't think so, I not had one the last two years
I agree, My Local Carpenter Quoted about £1800 for an inbuilt 3 door wardrobe for me where as I can get similar system in Ikea for about £450.. Yes the prices have gone up but some discount is better than paying full price..
To be fair I've only ordered from Dunelm only once, so you guys might be right. That said, I've never had a single problem with Argos (ordered lots of stuff) but IKEA I haven't had a single order without problems, and their stuff is also very low quality compared to Argos or Homcom for instance, for the same price. I.e. plastic railings instead of metal. Sure, probably cheap pot metal, but still far superior to the awful bent plastic of IKEA. (edited)
They hiked some items over night by more than 50%
I don’t think anyone loves ikea, but none of the other business are big enough or interested to do the whole go to store pick up your furniture and go home
Never heard of it, is that as big as ikea stores ? Similar stuff ?
Yes, gave up since before Corona, figured it cheaper to dump the stuff in the bin than the long trip and hassle of loading unloading trip and 1-2 hours wait in their returns room that resembles the A&E waiting room, only to be told by some disinterested (I hate my job) attitude person that they can’t take it back for whatever reason they invented (edited)
On Martin Lewis email just says you need to be a member and discount is automatic

Reverse for me. Ordered 3 pieces of furniture from dunelm, all 3 arrived damaged, then when they sent replacements two of them were then damage
IKEA are not the best for deliveries, they are still far better geared up as a collection at store company.
They have such a wide range of products and quality its probably best to view them, so the plastic railings you mention are most likely on their cheaper items and the more expensive items are far better quality imho.
If you need items delivered (no transport or no where near an IKEA to view items) then I would probably avoid ikea.
If you can collect, then its well worth the trip, even if it does take forever to get around !
I'll be going next week with this £10 offer, was planning to go soon anyway
I have no experience with their higher end stuff, it might be fine, but their budget stuff is terrible, while budget stuff from Homcom or Argos had no issues at all for me.
Looks like I'm bringing the missus and her card with me!
HOMCOM stuff is awful.
Plus at least with Ikea you can get hold of spare parts. But I would agree the cost of delivery is ridiculous, especially if you don't need to buy much.
Anecdotal of course, and not saying Homcom is good quality, but compared to the IKEA stuff I bought, Homcom is miles better. For the same price at IKEA you get 1/3rd of the stuff and it isn't even better quality.
Had to buy a wardrobe with a full mirror door and they were the only the real option.
Exactly the same as me, was quoted 2k but the Ikea equivalent is approx £400, only issue is I'll have to build it myself
That’s good!
The terms above state one use per account so perhaps their system doesn’t register it automatically. Maybe if you do it all in one hit it works but I’d imagine at some point (hours later or next day) it would say offer redeemed or something 🤷🏻♂️
Great thanks for this! I’m going later this week.
Were you sent a specific voucher for this or simply scanned your card and got the discount automatically?
As the two users above imply I’m wondering if this is selected customers by invitation as I haven’t received anything and can’t see any mention on the ikea family offers.
