10th gen i5 and 220nits in case anyone is wondering

Ok, if you need the i5, but i imagine most people who need something for just browsing/admin etc can save £100 and get the i3 version, and it is likely anyone who needs a laptop for productivity tasks/gaming will need something better than this.

Seems a bit of a funny product usage wise, with the i3 so much cheaper. (edited)

    Any links for the i3?

Price matching Argos! For both the I5 and I3 models.
    jimmya982's avatar
I think they are different models as Amazon one have a finger print sensor on the track pad, argos one doesn’t

How many times this will be reposted?

The system for catching reposts is very hit and miss. Can't really blame the poster. It's happened to me a few times too.

Can this be upgraded to 16GB ram?

    Yes, quite easily.

Would I be better buying this one or the i3 version to play the sims 4
    Eptesicus's avatar
I can't imagine either will play it that well. Depends whether the Sims 4 makes any sort of proper use of the extra cores/threads.

Wife's expensive Dell laptop is quickly dying (£1k in 2016) and we're a bit skint at the moment ahead of Christmas. She literally needs it to access her work Citrix account and respond to emails. I assume the i3 would do this just as well as this one?

In addition, my son is looking to buy himself a laptop to edit footage for the drone he's getting for Christmas. Would he be better with this one or would the i3 still be okay?

yeah mate all will be fine for everything 100%... go for this and believe a random person on hotUKdeals over doing your own research

I'm sure the answer is yes but would appreciate the advice of the HUKD community. Would this run Minecraft well or just OK? (edited)

Would this be ok to play, Robolox, Minecraft, Fortnite.

Looking for something under the £400

Any help would be really appreciated

Yes should be fine for the lower graphic demanding games like those but that’s it
