Wholefood Earth (Food Grade) Citric Acid 2 kg

Descale to your heart's content - use as a household cleaner - make bath bombs - can also be used as a meat tenderiser in marinades or for making eggless mozzarella sticks

  • ✔ A WORLD OF GOODNESS: We actively seek sustainable sources for our goods, asking our suppliers the tough questions that we know matter to our customers and making sure all our products are 100% GMO Free. We follow strict hygiene processes to provide the best quality ingredients and have achieved a maximum of 5 Start food hygiene ratings.
  • ✔ Anhydrous Citric Acid: Our citric acid is food-grade and safe to eat, but it is also a highly helpful home product, thanks to its strong acidity, which makes it an excellent cleaning agent. With its strong acidity, it performs an outstanding job of removing quicklime, especially since it is non-toxic to humans; and because it is very water-soluble with no odour, it comes off quickly and without streaks!
  • ✔ HIGH-QUALITY INGREDIENTS: Citric acid is highly useful because of its strong acidity quality. Citric acid is ideal for cleaning kettles and other food-handling equipment and supplies. Citric acid's flexibility doesn't end there; it can also be used as a bath additive! You may make a bath bomb that gives you a sense of relaxation and calm in the shower by mixing 2 parts baking soda and 1-part citric acid. So, there you have it, citric acid and its numerous applications. Not bad, right?
  • ✔ JUST THE GOOD STUFF / FULLY RECYCLABLE PACKAGING: We believe that good food shouldn’t cost the earth, as such, sustainability matters to us dearly. That’s why we work tirelessly to find sustainable solutions throughout our business. We rolled out all-new 100% recyclable packaging on Wholefood Earth products. The new packaging is apt for kerbside recycling.
  • ✔ OUR STORY: Thank you for knowing It's what's on the inside that counts. For wanting a future without toxins in the food your children eat. For protecting the biodiversity that nurtures animal habitats and makes crops thrive. From everyone here at Wholefood Earth, thank you for using your buying power to make meaningful, informed choices that will continue to nourish our people and our planet today, tomorrow, and forever. We're here for a healthier earth, a sustainable earth, a wholesome earth.

I use this when I make an elderflower cordial but 2kg is a little bit too much. What else can you use it for? Voted hot

You can clear your kettle or coffee machine with this. Just 1 spoon of this can make your kettle shiny and as clean as the day you purchased it.

Only £5 per kg if you get the Cillit,  and cheaper still with S&S at £4.76
Comes in a screwtop plastic pot.
So £10 at worst, or £9.52 to match this in weight

If possible, mention that cillit bang citric acid is not for consumption.

As in the safety advice on the Ocado website:ocado.com/pro…011

    ##############
    Safety Warning:
Warning. Contains citric acid: 77-92-9. Causes serious eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. If medical advice is needed, have the product container or label at hand. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves, eye / face protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical attention.

    Do not ingest.

Dispose of contents / container in accordance with local / national / regional regulations.
    ##############

Non-Chemists may not realise and buy it thinking it is going to be 100% pure and not adulterated by other nasty cleaning chemicals like some/most manufacturers like to do to trademark and copyright their product as "unique".

Lengthy and repeated exposure to citric acid and other acids in food and drinks causes tooth enamel to dissolve.

When erosion has progressed into the softer, inner layer of your tooth, called the dentin, you will start to experience sensitivity and pain.

    Just helpful info.

I buy from the local middle eastern (Lebanese) grocery store. not sure how much it goes for by kg, but definitely it lasts me a lot and I do not need 2kg at once.
