I don't get the hype around Ring etc. I've installed 2 generic Chinese system things first my house and my in laws, they were £20 each (bell and chime) with video doorbell features, alerts etc, no monthly subscription and have been working well for over 2 years now. Ring is overpriced for what it is

Regret getting involved with the Ring system

Laggy and delayed notifications, and the more features are slowly being placed behind the paywall

Thinking about ditching it and replacing it with the Nest doorbell instead

    Anyone if it's worth replacing?

I ditched the ring doorbell for nest hello few years ago and never looked back. Much superior product. I have the old version of the nest hello which gives me 24/7 recording (with a subscription)

I am heavily invested into Google echo system, so it was thw right thing for me. All depends on your current set up.

I don't pay more than £20 for a ring doorbell. Got a ring wired for £20 and a pro 2 for £21 off ebay

Rubbish product, ours stopped working for no reason.  Wi-Fi signal is good but press the button and nothing happens, even when fully charged.

Anyone had problems trying to share online account, my partner is the main account. On the app it says it takes up to 14 days to join but still has not accept me as the other account holder.
