I wanted to buy this TV from the day it was launched last year, but the QC on this TV is terrible which has put me off from purchasing it. There are so many videos on YouTube with various issues. If you are planning to buy this TV, do buy with a 5 year warranty at the very least. (edited)

Yes that was a concern of mine. I had a 5 year warranty from Crampton and Moore and was wondering what the TV would be like when it arrived. My main concern was a bent frame/screen, but mine came perfect and it's absolutely stunning to be fair. Would highly recommend this TV.

What a TV. Just bought this now for a little more than this from Crampton and Moore, very good deal with the Samsung HW-Q990B. Amazing set up to be fair.

As for the TV, best I've ever seen in my life. Amazing for movies and gaming. Very good deal this if you can get it

Oh would you look at this. Best Gaming TV as reviewed by RTINGS. Primary use for me is gaming, secondary use movies, sport etc.

I'm delighted with this TV, and it would seem those who know their stuff are also. Happy days.

I have been trying to check out via PayPal Credit or Samsung finance for 2 days. Support won't help. Be warned
    Shaftydude's avatar
Samsung only support that in America. No PayPal support on Samsung website in UK.

Ive got this tv, had it roughly 6 months now and i feel like its got better with age, almost like it needed warming up. When i first got it the motion handling was the worst of any tv of any age ive ever had but after just over 2000 hours of use and although not amazing, its best its ever been. I dont particularly think the sd content is great on this tv but hd, 4k, gaming etc are all great. I do feel that with this tv if you look for problems you will find them as with anything else. The build quality is no where near that of LG, i have a C1 and C7, and it beats neither on motion handling but pure image quality blows them both out of the water. If i had the money i would of got the a95k but i didnt and i went for this. For the money im happy.

There is only a 1 year Warranty with student site price. So make sure you weigh that up. Before you buy it here.
    carterland68's avatar
Hey, do you know if that also applies to the employee portal? Same price but don’t think I’d be happy with just a 12 month warranty

    Is there any trade-in offer?

I had it, and it was great, but it was giving me unexplained migraines (to do with the blue pixel tech apparently). Swapped for a C2 and the problem went. Niche for sure, but meant that I couldn't keep it. Also, the interface is possibly the worst I've ever used on a TV.

I have purchased the 65" QN90B Neo QLED 4K HDR Smart TV (2022) for £1070.24 through my work scheme and hopefully will be delivered on Monday, did look at this one but wasn't sure if the extra expense was worth it.

This comparison has been done pretty much in every thread for this TV.

Brighter rooms and no burn-in worries go QLED. If you can control the light levels in your room and learn to not abuse your TV then go OLED for the perfect picture.

I guess LG OLED65C24LA @ £1599 with 6 year warranty on RS would be nice option (https://www.richersounds.com/lg-oled65c24la.html)

I know there's no time machine but this was cheaper back in late Jan.

Crampton & Moore had a discount on the TV for £1649. There was a 5% code which brought it down to £1566.55. Got a price beat from RS by £20 + £200 Samsung cash back on top (paid out early April). Paid £1346.55 total.

Hopefully it gives me no problems. My panel came straight and everything works fine. Only a bit slow when first booted up but give it 30 seconds and it'll sort itself out.

The rating for the 65" is 4.4* but the rating for the 55" is 4.6*. If your unit has no problems this is a great TV with awesome picture quality. That said, the panel looks grey-ish when used in environments with bright ambient lighting so better create a dark room for the best viewing experience. (edited)

Careful - Samsung is known to place third party ads on their TVs. It can be disabled however.

A lot of tvs do this now, its pretty much unavoidable

I wouldn't buy this TV with only 1 year warranty - and directly from samsung (e.g. good freaking luck getting any support)

According to the list given, yes.

I have got the S95b, am very happy with it just frustrated with the sky stream that I have, that just can't seem to keep a clear picture. Anyway besides from that. I wondered if anyone had good calibration settings for it?
    deleted1943977's avatar
Filmmaker Mode is already very close out of the box. I then adjust Contrast Enhancer levels as per your preference.

    Cracking TV this.

I have an LCD i use for gaming. I got sick of bricking panels over the years.

This Samsung Oled i use for Movies and streaming.

I would advise anyone who does a lot of gaming with static images to avoid any Oled TV just to be on the safe side.Reason being if you are unfortunate enough to get Screen burn, manufacturers will always blame the user.

Saying that i watch a lot of Football on this TV at weekend with static Scores etc and i have had no problem.

I personally think it is the ultra bright HDR games are Oled TV killers. That is just my opinion.

Stunning picture this TV.Those deeep blacks are so emmersive watching movies.
    xtrem3x's avatar
Static elements when gaming don't tend to be bright so burn in shouldn't be a problem.

If you've got this TV and you're not using it for gaming you're missing out. It's one of the best gaming TVs you can buy

why wasn't this hotter? Isn't this a comparison to the Sony A95K which is at like £3k
    the.porter's avatar
Was in jl last night looking at both, the sound on the Sony is superb best in class, but was hard to see Which was the best picture wise

but the Sony was playing movie footage the Sammy the usual 4k city’s etc and both looked sublime I can’t choose between them
