    This is great in autumn and winter. A delicious scent, very sweet and spicy, projects well and lasts ages. I find it a bit too sickly sweet and thick for springtime and totally unsuitable for summer. A good deal but perhaps not one you'll want to wear often until much later in the year.

    It must be said the bottle is hideous, the plastic doesn't just look cheap, it really is thin and cheap, the only bottle on my shelf where the ring around the atomiser has cracked just from pulling off the cap, luckily it still just about works but I have to be careful not to scratch my finger with it!

    There is a new clone of Layton out now called Amber Oud Exclusif Bleu, also from Haramain but a bit pricier than this, supposed to be better juice in a nicer bottle. When I finish my Detour Noir that's what I'll be looking to pick up, but this is still great value for money if you can overlook the awful bottle.

    Managed to grab 2 bottles of this for £15 each a few months ago. And I actually wore this today. Sprayed it around 11AM and I'm still catching whiffs of it (9PM).

    My favourite fragrances are Diesel Only the Brave Tattoo, Issey Miyake Summer Edition, Emporio Armani He, and Clinique Happy. So generally I prefer close to unisex fragrances. Do people think I'd like this one then? I'm not familiar with any of the fragrances it's compared to and can't seem to find any high street shop that has this in stock to test it. I could blind buy I suppose but is it similar to any of the fragrances I've listed? (edited)

    One of the best clones about. I love layton and this is so close. Not cheap smelling in any way. Well worth the money.

    I'm really surprised by the comments on this - bought it as a blind buy based on feedback here, and thought it smelt like women's perfume, and not particularly nice.

    Maybe I need to give it another go, and try on clothes. Still not found anything which gets as many compliments as Armaf.

    It's strangely overrated. The sweet spot is the price. For the money it's a passable buy but one that will lead many people to wonder how the positive reviews are generated.
