Better off growing your tomatoes. Or get eggs from the chickens you raise in your garden. You can make your own wine too. And the list goes on. You said the obvious, but I guess all of us know already that whatever you cook home, from scratch, it is better than buying from the supermarket. In other countries people use their own wheat and mill, I'm sure their bread taste better than baking your own with flour from the supermarket. I've got a pasta making machine. I think I've made my own pasta twice, that's it, my life is too busy.
And not everything is frozen is rubbish. Proper cook meal going in the freezer is better than supermarket pre-cooked meals. (edited)

I bought one yesterday hadn’t realised it was part baked so ate a bit. It was fine, then chucked in the air fryer for it to crisp as instricted

50p for the bread... £500 for the electricity/gas needed to finish cooking it in the oven (edited)

There's no need to finish it in oven, I didn't.

I'm currently baking bread. It's on its second proofing. A 500g Mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes loaf bakes in 12 minutes in my ninja foodie. It's fun to bake. Even more fun to eat.

It even says on the packaging to take home to crisp up. Stick to Tesco💯

Its a shame, as it used to be nice. But wont buy it now. (edited)

It's fully baked, you only crisp it up if that's how you want it. You can buy the already crisp tiger bread from Asda.

Of course it is, but what value do you put on your spare time? Whilst you may be happy in your kitchen, others, like me, just regard it as a chore and would rather spend our free time doing anything other than making bread from scratch.

Our Asda used to have it's own bakers and made great Tiger bread but this stuff they get in is garbage.Better off getting an Aldi or Lidl with their own bakers.
