    Got two controllers, both with stick drift. Never had this issue on any console since my N64.

    Easy to fix. Either blow compressed air from a can down the gaps whilst rotating the stick and or put rubbing alcohol down there and rotate to clean.

    Do these work with the Old Xbox One S? Also do these have the same issues of the old ones with joysticks breaking or rubber grips falling apart?

    Yes they will work with Xbox one consoles. Never heard of joysticks breaking before? & there are no rubber grips on these, its all plastic. Its the 1st Elite pads that have the rubber grips & the issue with them stretching & coming off, I dont know if the series 2 Elite pads have the issue, I have 2 & they're both fine.

    Anyone who has stick drift, try this...worked well for my white series s controller and joycons...but had to order this to replace the original series s controller as there is a slight initial delay when pressing the dpad or the left stick movement when in the menu...

    alas this hasn't worked for me fixed so many other controllers and joycons before! fixed the right trigger on this but alas not the left stick going to try rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs tomorrow if i can find some at superdrug.

    Regular Bluetooth works (3.5mm jack won't work). No batteries built in

    Worth adding the 3 year instant replacement? £44 seems a decent price for three years of controller. Given the known issues with bumpers and drift I took the warranty on a previous deal. On the other hand, if these are getting replaced soon by a new model they will not be able to exchange like for like and some branches may only offer a refund.

    You can purchase the instant replacement cover up to 12 months after purchase so unless you think your controller is going to develop a fault in the first year it's worth holding off getting the cover, effectively extending the insurance by up to a year.

    Last time they were cheap on Amazon + the pick from locker discount my first one had a defective should button and the second got right stick drift upwards.

    I am still using a Xbox ONE (edit: not 360) controller I found in a charity shop instead.

    This generation of controllers is trash and £35 is too much, They should be £20 or something considering the high chances of issues. (edited)

    Yep, issues are just as frequent with ps5 controllers. Issues on 2 ps5 controllers in the last year, where my PS4 one lasted for 4 years.

    Have 3 of these but one of my ones had considerable stick drift on the left stick.
    This was only after about 2 months of gameplay with it (not even daily), so just be aware and make sure your controller doesn't suffer from the same issue.

    Replaced it of course and all is fine now

    Nice. Are the newer controllers the ones with usb-c that came out a few years ago or is there an even newer model?

    My shock blue has shift drift so looking to buy myself a new one. I see the red is 39.99 on amazon which looks a nice colour. (edited)

    yes newest generation xbox controllers have type-c charge ports. if you're okay at soldering or know someone who is you can get your shift drift repaired with a new pair of analog sticks or solder in a thing that let's you adjust them manually so whenever it happens you just adjust to compensate for it.

    Anyone know where you can buy one of these without the textured grip on the back? It's the latest design & seemingly incorporated onto all new controllers, but my son prefers the older non-textured style, & preferably brand new rather than pre-owned. Thanks (edited)

    I would assume that's the pre-Series Xbox Controllers.

    Xbox One controllers (the one without the 3rd button for sharing content) are the ones without the more grippier texture as opposed to the one on this deal.

    (I could be wrong but researching into it, that's what I've seen)

    Got a dualsense, and when developers stop using their functions for games or if your a pc gamer and have died waiting for them to move them to pc buy this (I have a dualsense and the games that use it are very good, but far and few between)

    Currys are a nightmare. Ordered this for click and collected because they had in local store. Then sent a message saying don't go untill I receive a confirmation. Spoke to Web chat just now they are saying to cancel and reordered. Shambles
