TILE Slim (2022) Bluetooth Tracker - Official Page

Overview

  • Locate lost items using your smartphone or tablet
  • Works with Apple HomeKit / Google Assistant / Amazon Alexa
  • Ring your phone even when it's on silent
  • IP67 waterproof & dustproof

Details

No need to lose your cool when you lose stuff. With the Tile Slim Bluetooth Tracker, you'll be able to easily locate your treasured possessions by making them beep or tracking them using Bluetooth.

When something is really lost, you can check the Tile app and see exactly where it is on a map. If the tracker is out of the wide Bluetooth range, the map will show you it's last known location. So you'll know exactly which shop you left your wallet in.

It works the other way around, too! When your phone is nowhere to be found you can just double press the Tile Slim and your phone will ring - even if it's on silent. The tracker also works with smart assistants, so you can just ask Alexa, Google or Siri to find your phone or keys.

Thanks to its water-resistant design, the Tile Slim can also stand up to the rigours and stresses of daily life, no matter where you go. And the battery can last for up to 3 years of use.

Features

1. Find your lost items within Bluetooth range
2. Press on the Tile twice to ring it even when your phone is on silent
3. Locate your item on the Tile map with Bluetooth tracking
4. Range: 76 m
5. IP67 water and dust resistant

Going to non-rechargeable batteries was a backward step for the Tile products really.

These are handy when you have young children with you. Put them in their socks and if you lose sight you can quickly find them in busy places like a fair ground. Voted hot.

I just love labour saving child care devices. I can now get rid of my bairns belisha beacons (the batteries are nearly dead anyhow as I've them wired up to include an electric stun). In truth I just wish my kids would sit quietly watching tv so I can get on with my drinking gin expertly.

As above . Long battery life. Up to 3 years. Got one in my car hidden. Map location feature is excellent. Yes its got to be pinged but with 35 million Tiles sold worldwide it generally does.

I used Tile until Apple AirTag came along and it’s just so much better. Mainly for the reliable tracking pretty much everywhere thanks to the abundance of Apple devices that report their location. They’re simple and small and take replaceable batteries. You can choose some text or an icon to be printed on each one if you order from Apple and they are loud when pinged.
The later iPhones (11 onwards) even display an arrow and distance once they establish a Bluetooth connection to help you home in.
    Typically available for £20 each.
The only benefit this Tile has his the slimness but be aware tracking outside the home will be very unreliable if you lose your wallet.

You can buy a 4mm slim AirTag for wallets from jtee3d but I don’t think HotUKdealers will like the £70 cost! It’s basically a standard AirTag component removed from its original case and mounted in a new case alongside the battery.

Voted hot as it’s a great price!
However…..I’ve just put 2 of these on eBay, because the Apple Airtag is just so much better IMO.

Worth it at this price, but Apple and Samsung have edged them out and Google are throwing their hat into the ring before the end of the year, there's likely to be collaboration across all the brands as well eventually so they can find each others devices on each others operating systems.

It's a shame but the Tile network doesn't have a hope of remotely competing with that unless, hopefully, they're part of a cross-platform compatibility push.

Also the battery almost certainly is replaceable if you can do very basic soldering and find a replaceable battery. What unreplaceable usually means is that it's soldered and maybe you'll lose waterproofing unless you deal with that too. Batteries are almost always a white label standard. (edited)

Tile have confirmed they will be playing ball with Google's Find my Network, however, I'd guess it's unlikely any old gen products will work!

Had the last one for years. It’s still trucking along. Replaceable battery would be nice but it’s very slim and £10 is nothing for 3 years. Bought and heat!

Battery life was good and got up about 2.5 years out of my last one

do these work the same way as samsung tags? whereas as they will get location from any samsung in the vicinity?

Likely anyone with the tile app installed.

AFAIK Samsung only work with people who use the Samsung app store/account... Which is likely a lot less than half.

Good deal, but I’d rather pay more and get a wallet tracker that works with Find My network as an Apple user. Way more nodes since nearly every iphone user is one technically. Think there’s one for about £25 on Amazon from Eufy

Good price if you want one, but the second video put me off (kudos to the OP for adding such an unbaised vid ).
I was always under the impression that samsung tags worked with any andriod, but looks they went down the apple route, another reason not buy either phone for me.

To track this device whilst it's away from you requires it to lock on to someone with the Tile app installed on their phone. Pretty much no one has the Tile app on their phone so this is useless for tracking whilst it's out of bluetooth range of your phone. It's fine for recording where you last left the device though (say you leave it in the pub it will show up on the app there) - but as soon as it gets moved from the last location you were in range, you may as well forget about tracking it. Apples Airtags lock on to any Apple device for tracking so are significantly better. Finally Chipolo are bringing out and Android equivalent of this, which locks on to any Android device for tracking and uses the Android "Find My" network. So this will be much more useful chipolo.net/en/…int

Oh, neat. I had to buy a tracker urgently recently and if you're on a non-Galaxy Android you're basically shafted no matter what you get, it's almost comical how useless everything is unless you can use Apple Find My.

It'll be another story by the end of the year after the next major Android update, so if it's at all possible to hang on I'd do so.

I guess these are on their way out, therefore the cheap price? With Google's new stuff and these being a little older now, I bet we'll see some new ones soon from Tile.

Got my couple now - anyone got any good use cases? Thinking about backpack and wallet respectively.

But I suppose the beauty of these is that you could take them and move them around etc etc. (edited)

9.99. Got one. Well impressed how slim it is. Wallet is better than the bulky ugly AirTag before it.
I went from Tile to AirTag and got to say, not that impressed with apple. Batteries don’t seem to last very long and sick of changing them.
also not that reliable IMO. Have tried in luggage, in a bag, wallet. Not always very reliable.
