Classic Arcade style

When dishing out the ultimate beatdown in your favourite fighting game, the eight-button layout provides a full range of options and versatility to control every fight. Inspired by classic arcade cabinets from neighbourhood arcades of yore, this design allows you to dominate every battle. Ball top joystick with metal shaft and dust cover can be toggled to d-pad, left stick or right stick functions for maximum flexibility.

Play your way: Wireless or Wired
Enjoy the convenience of Bluetooth 5.0 support for wireless gaming on your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite. Get up to 30 hours* of gaming from a set of two AA alkaline batteries. For times when milliseconds matter or when batteries run low, open the cable storage compartment, and plug in the detachable 9.8ft (3m) USB-C cable to continue the fight.

Flexible Joystick Functions
This Arcade Stick becomes an even more dangerous weapon thanks to toggle switches that offer on-the-fly customization of the joystick functionality. The joystick can be transformed into virtual left to right thumbstick operation or function like an 8-way d-pad. This is helpful for games where item selection, looking around or running is managed by separate controls on a typical gamepad.

Customizable face cards
Change your look to match your style with two swappable face cards featuring red Nintendo branding or dark FUSION branding. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver to remove and replace the acrylic protective cover. If you want to design and print your own face-card, you can download a free PDF template* from PowerA.com. Show off your personal style, favourite fighter or game!

Official Licensed Product
This Wireless Arcade Stick is officially licensed for Nintendo Switch. Always look for this seal when buying video game accessories to demonstrate that the product has gone through Nintendo’s rigorous testing and evaluation process. Products that do not carry this seal may not work at all with your Nintendo system or may have compatibility issues with certain games.

    Yes, works great on pc

Recommended - use it on my gaming laptop, been playing Tekken , sf6 and it’s also good on retro games with simple controls

Alternatives are always great and I thank OP for sharing! However, if convenient enough for you, please support independent retailers rather than Amazon

I always will if I can. Mentioned by OP - thegamecollection.net/pow…tch - just bought from here. Hoping they're more independent. Price is £25.95, Amazon now seems to have gone up to £29.95. Game Collection delivery is free, 2 working days after dispatch, so might even come quicker than Amazon.

Is it just me, but why is it not more rectangular? There seems to be a lot of space on the South side of the square base. It doesn't look practical?

Your button pressing fingers are connected to your palm and wrist, much more comfortable if they can rest on something.

Just remember this will not make you better at fighting games.

Like using a wheel for MK kinda thing eh?

    Steal!
Gets great reviews at $80 this is a giveaway at this price

We’ve been pleased with this - and it’s uncommonly mod friendly for the price. Easy to open, and has a 4-way gated joystick insert sitting the the body that you can install.

And if you want to replace the buttons, they are all standard 2-pin arcade wiring and mounts.
    noahsdad's avatar
What do you mean has a 4-way gated joystick insert can install?

I take it the joy stick as it comes is 8 directional (i.e. can move diagonally) ?

Has anyone got this to work on pc with low lag? I’m thinking about it for shmups on both pc and switch.
    essjay_22's avatar
yeh, low lag for me on pc wired or wireless. It's great. (edited)

How times have changed - the console is tiny and the controller is gigantic. Impressive looking device.

PowerA is generally not synonymous with quality not sure how this will fare in the long term!

The 8bitdo stick appeals more to me, the NES design look is nice and appears more solid, with a better shape. Of course being a more premium brand is much more expensive.

I got this last time it was on offer. It's amazing and the batteries last for ages.

Got this last sale, really good value for a wireless arcade stick and been having fun pairing it with the steam deck, but I did find the buttons require just a bit too much force to actuate compared to any other arcade stick i've used. I swapped them with a set of sanwas and it feels a lot nicer to use. Also nice that it supports custom art so you can really make it your own.
    obwan2014's avatar
Thanks for this. Do you mean you just swapped the buttons to Sanwas buttons? Was it pretty easy?

Got one of these and it's really good

Anyone tried this with Linux distros like Batocera?
  24. Thetrout's avatar
Blimey, ordered two of these, and then thought off hand to check out if they work with a Raspberry Pi, and they don't. You would think Bluetooth works for any device these days , or even a flaming USB C connection. (edited)
    hotfinder's avatar
Works fine for my Pi Zero using RetroPie via Bluetooth and usb. What’s the issue? (edited)
  25. Thetrout's avatar
    Thanks guys, re-ordered

Android support? Specifically a Nvidia Shield.
  27. jopilar's avatar
    Cheers.

    I 100% don't need this......but I couldn't resist. I recall having something similar for the SNES, 25-odd years ago.
    jopilar's avatar
Oh my god, this thing is a monster!
  28. Relievo's avatar
Would this be good for steam deck?
  29. cypher007's avatar
is it just me or does this look like its setup for left handers?
    JohnnyBlazeon's avatar
It's you i think - this was how arcade machines used to lay out the buttons and the joystick unless my memory is also failing me....
  30. gdad510's avatar
Anyone know if it works on Xbox series without an adapter? Looks as if it should but just wanted to check
  31. hat_ok_dear's avatar
    Coming up as £30.

Anybody know how this compares to the 8bitdo arcade stick? Size / weight?
    noahsdad's avatar
I have tried/tested either product. But from previous experience of PowerA/8bitdo controllers the latter is more solid, better build and performance.
  32. theKMK's avatar
Showing as £29.95 for me unless I@m missing something? I would have committed otherwise......
  33. mickael28's avatar
Anyone knows if the bluetooth connection works with Android (or the retroarch android app)? And if so, which Android version you had pls?
