I missed this when all the retailers dropped the price 25% three weeks ago. Spotted it was back yesterday. This is the model with 8GB RAM & a 128GB hard drive. No doubt the other retailers, if they have stock, will drop prices to match. Description is full of small errors on a lot of the retail sites. It's a decent 400nits 10.95in screen.

Got from Argos and surprisingly it includes the Lenovo USI 2 pen as well as the cover and keyboard. Works a treat, best tablet deal under £300.

Does it have a SD card slot?

Now £299.99 in Argos with 5x Nectar points and should work with TCB £3 cash offer (and 1.5% cashback).

Can the storage be upgraded on these?

Nope - definitely avoid the 4GB RAM/64GB STORAGE version unless it's stupid cheap. There are also versions with 8GB/128GB STORAGE and 8GB/256GB STORAGE. 128 is plenty for Chrome OS in most use cases.

Not an unreasonable perspective but, for me, having used the half as fast original Duet with 4GB of RAM, I'm confident this will have plenty of ability to meet my tablet and occasional low demand web needs day to day. It's definitely not a substitute for proper PC work but it can manage, at a push.

Popped into Currys last weekend and there were no Duet 3s in store. It's still marked at £399.99 online at Currys. Keep an eye on both Currys and Argos as they will likely price match Amazon if this deal is up for any time.

Duet 5 is £399 in Currys - I'm very tempted by that

Same here. I'm thinking of it, for the extra £100 you get Oled and bigger screen. But torn between that and a MS Surface. Need something for teenage kids for school work who are starting GCSEs (edited)

10.1 screen is too small for me. Looks big in photos . But difficult to work with maps etc . On top it says 10.95 . Below it says 10.1 (edited)

10.1" is the Duet from 2020. 10.95" is the new duet 3 from 2022.

I have the original IdeaPad Duet and it's a lovely size and design but sure does feel sluggish even with Chrome OS. I heard this one is a big improvement on the speed but also more money - might try to get one when they pop onto the used market.

I noticed it slowing down a bit. Powerwash definitely gave it a new lease of life.

The new Duet 3 is much faster. Still not what I'd describe as powerful but more than adequate. (edited)
