Those who are laughing at the ‘opened never used ‘ condition, these usually tend to be returns within the 14 day period

i can’t speak for this seller but cheapest_electrical on eBay are basically Tesco Mobile under a different name. Most (all???) their stock tends to be 14 day returns especially the A and B grades iPhones which always come in original box, original unused accessories as well (just a cable these days )

I’ve bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max and recently an iPhone 14 last week off them. Both were literally a week old, 100% battery health and confirmed Tesco Mobile returns (had the sticker on the packaging).

If buying second hand phones off eBay I’d only trust cheapest electrical as they are the ones I’ve had positive experience from

    Thanks. Interesting about cheapest_electrical

Open but never used - yeah right. First thing anyone who buys this should be doing is checking the warranty date swiftly followed by the number of battery charge cycles. (edited)

My friend bought an “opened but never used” phone off eBay. After about a year the battery needed replacing. When she took it to a shop to get a new battery, the installed one was not the original. It had been swapped out for a bad copy. This has put me off buying these “opened” box phones.

Is the seller saying the silent part out loud? “100% BATTERY NEW“. (edited)

The seller has good feedback so wouldn't be too concerned and can always send it back.

Surely non Apple (OEM) parts will show up under service history, in Settings / General / About

    Of Course.

Why are there so many open never used items? Do people just open the box and decide, "nah, not for me"
    jinx121's avatar
    Returned items, probably.

Offered £875 and was accepted. Minus the £75 offer made it £800 in total. Result

I bought an iPad from these people and it was precisely as described- one charging cycle and 9 months warranty remaining. Does not mean this will be but a good indication perhaps. Here was the deal thread with comments hotukdeals.com/sha…090

Just had my purchase cancelled and money refunded. Seller explained that the delivery he was expected yesterday of iPhone 14 Pro Maxs’ failed to happen. I’m obviously not very happy and find it bizarre how you can advertise and sell goods on E Bay you don’t actually physically own or posses.
    vassy4u's avatar
    Lame reason tbh.
  9. roboog's avatar
They cancelled my order too. I can’t seem to leave any feedback either, presumably because of the incomplete order. What a scam. I’m going to escalate this with eBay I’m p****d

They only had 3 iPhones initially, then kept adding more throughout the day… my girlfriend bought it so be interesting if it was cancelled

I hate these phones without a button! Work tried to give me an iphone 12. I played with it for a week then told them i wanted the Iphone SE back.... They're a nightmare all one screen and no button...

The new ipads are the same. grumble, grumble moan.

    Alright grandad

If people will stop buying, they might bring that option back. BTW, you can still put an offer for the bundle of 5 phones

The seller has removed the 'make an offer' option on this, (presumably due to the success of this deal).

The title and price should be amended.

Next iPhone comes in 4 months . And this will be a lot cheaper by a lot
    skidderbrown's avatar
3 months actually. It won't be cheaper either. Not sure where you get your information from. It will be £1199 for the 15 pro max 128gb.

I appreciate it's a pain, but did anybody lose their money?

Sometimes it's easier to just shrug your shoulders and move on.
    shutsy2003's avatar
Probably no one lost their money but is this practice acceptable?

Where does £823 come from as item shows as £948 minus £75 as the max discount using apply10 code so £873

assume they have jacked the price up following all the click thru from here

Make them an offer of £900. If they accept, then £900 apply voucher for £75. Total to pay is £825.

Does this come with a genuine Apple screen or with an LCD replacement screen?
    skidderbrown's avatar
If it's NEW/OPEN BOX what do you think?
  19. Savedotmoney's avatar
    Where’s the offer option?
    deleted1945554's avatar
    On the eBay page.

Search the page with 'Take £75.00 off this item' as quite hard to see with all the other info.

Now showing over £1100 when you click through. When I tried to buy this morning the payments would not go through at the lower price and if my understanding was correct from PayPal that was initiated by the seller. So in short I wonder if this was an exercise to drive traffic to the site. Totally unimpressed that my time has been wasted.
    Savedotmoney's avatar
Showing as £873 for me so not sure what you're doing.

    Has anyone’s been cancelled
  24. Professor_Chaos's avatar
I’ve had similar lane reason when an iPad Pro was cancelled on me after buying it. I asked lots of questions about it before buying - they were answered

the minute I bought it the excuse came out ‘someone stole the iPad from our shop’

I really should have given him a negative there and then

This pretty much tells you how low the used prices will be when 15 comes out. The currency exchange last year, made the new iPhones very overpriced.

sent ebay support an angry message, feel free to copy it:

The seller listed a fraudulent listing that they didn't have stock for and cancelled my order. They sent me a message saying "the item you have purchased from us it is part of a delivery that was supposed to come yesterday, unfortunatelly this was cancelled and refunded by the supplier due to a lack of supply", meaning they were fraudulently selling a product they did not actually have.

The seller has 100% positive rating despite these practices, and I'm unable to leave any feedback.

I expect this seller to be held accountable for their misleading practices, and this will be the last time I consider making such purchases on ebay as I cannot trust your seller ratings. (edited)
    echobase's avatar
Same happened to me. Told him he shouldn’t be advertising if he does have the stock in hand. (edited)

Deal too good to be true i think, i bought a new pro for over 1k recently so less than 900 for a max is a steal
  30. echobase's avatar
I have reported him to eBay and encourage everyone else to do the same.

Did anyone actually get their order fulfilled? (edited)

I got this offer from cheapest electrical, £934 to £887 is this any good for class B (edited)
    deleted1945554's avatar
I would say it's not a good deal being class B.
